Rumble in the ring from the legends of the past to the stars of today...but are all things as they seem?

User Rating: 7.5 | WWE All Stars X360
WWE All Stars is as you might be able to tell from the name of this game is indeed a wrestling game. As such there is a few things to expect..One the combat is not going be be along the lines of a normal beat-em up or in this case the game is not along the line of past WWE games as there does seem to be a fair amount of differance between WWE All Stars and the smackdown vs raw games.

Unlike the SVR games of the past which would be more simulation based professional wrestling All Stars features arcade-style gameplay along with over-the-top animation and wrestlers bearing a more exaggerated look. The wrestlers look way biiger than the do in real life and the moves go way way over the top...more so then in SVR. All Stars is a combination of a fighting game and a wrestling game, with combos playing a major factor in gameplay, both on the ground and mid-air. Linking moves is key as it helps build up your bar to be able to pull off the differant characters moves. Characters will perform exaggerated moves, such as John Cena's Attitude Adjustment, in which he dives high into the air, Triple H's Pedigree with shock waves running across the ring and Bret Hart's Sharpshooter with a slow motion smile and finger pointed towards the crowd for a few seconds, prior to the same.

All Stars features a Path Of Champions mode where players choose a WWE Legend or Superstar to either become the WWE Champion. The end game being a fight with Randy Orton for the WWE tittle. The player can also go for the World Heavyweight Champion which just happens to be the undertaker or the player can fight for the tag belts which are held by DX. Not only that but you can play out Fantasy Warfare matches style matches in which you pit legends from the past to fight the starts of today...before each fight you get a video promo as if it was a real fight and some say this is the best part of the game.

The combat in All Stars can be a pain to get the hang of as its not just about hitting your foe or being able to throw them into a suplex...No in this game the counter is just as important in winning the fight....You have to mix it up and not try to go for the same move over and over again and the AI will put a stop to you.

WWE All Stars came out in north america on March 29, 2011 and in europe on April 1, 2011 for the PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, PlayStation Portable, Wii and Xbox 360.

While it is not a perfect game it is alot of fun and once you master the ins and out of the way the combat in the ring works you will be throwing people about like nothing before....
