A fun game with a great arcade style.

WWE All-Stars is a fun game that is easy to pick up and play but can be difficult to master. I'll get the negatives out of the way because there aren't that many of them. The roster could be stronger: I feel as though they could have added more wrestlers as 30 seems thin. Also, the current day wrestlers (I refuse to use the term "Superstars") are a rather weak assortment overall in my opinion. Sure I can understand the likes of HHH, Undertaker and Cena being in a game with some of history's best but the Jack Swaggers, Kofi Kingstons, Drew McIntyres and CM Punks (to name a few) of the world just make me think they are taking up value space that should have been reserved for more deserving and more fun to play as Legends. That's purely subjective though and perhaps that's the "old fogie" in me. The only other knock on the game is that the game play is a little too shallow and I felt they could have added some more gameplay modes.

Now for the good: The Legends side of the roster is awesome and Hulk Hogan is a pleasant surprise given that he works for TNA (so is the perpetually "on the outs" Macho Man). The over-the-top graphics look great and really fit in with the gameplay. The game has a nice learning curve that people new to wrestling games can immediately get into without being overwhelmed but can also be challenging to master. Overall the good in WWE All-Stars far outweighs the bad and I would recommend it for any wrestling fan, old or new, looking for a fresh take on the genre and perhaps tired of the stale Smackdown vs Raw franchise.
