While graphically the best out of the series, the gameplay was still not re-hauled as claimed.

I picked up WWE 12 about a month after it came out, hoping for a quite different or new experience in terms of gameplay as compared to the smackdown vs. raw games. What i found however is simply just another rehashing of the past games. The only difference i can tell is that instead of the right analog stick as the primary grappling control, they made it the standard A button to make it have a kind of a no mercy feel. While that does make things simpler to new comers, the old problems with the series remain. Things like collision detection are still a problem but looking in hindsight, if they can't change this after so many years then it is most likely unavoidable to get around because of the 3D models and great graphical representation the game possesses.

But other than that the game is still the best wrestling game around today. If you're a wrestling fan you'll enjoy the current updated rosters, theme music entrance, and signature moves the game has. The story mode is different than past games in the series, but you'll enjoy that too undoubtedly. Again, WWE 12 has done a great job with all the robust features you can mess around with and as a wrestling fan you're going to love to tinker with them.

I just hope next year they can get a clear fix on gameplay and refine it in a way that will produce smoother wresting matches. Again not a reason to not get this game, just hoping next year will be even better. Thanks for reading.
