The game looks kinda fake.  Everytime you hit a portion of a building the whole surface of it crumbles into chunky pieces.

Sounds like making it 3D compatible would have ruled.

I got this today and I'm glad I did.  It's really good fun.  Don't let those taking the p out of the E3 presentation put you off.  Ps can't wait to play this hammered.

7? This is a pretty good score that i did not expect after that not so impressive E3 demo, I guess that silly little woman was justified in her excitement about the game at E3

This game actually looks pretty decent. Maybe kinect users will finally have some use for their systems other than yelling at their TV's while playing skyrim

Given the review I don't understand why it got such a high score.

Sorry but after that horrendous E3 presentation this game should have been buried and no one should ever speak of it again.

Looks interesting however I'd like to make a suggestion to the reviewer (Chris W). Given all of the positive things you said about it and the lack of significant negatives, it's not clear why it only got a 7.0. More details on its shortcomings would be helpful to us in making a decision on wether or not to pick this up.

@Nic3546 Thanks for the note! My first suggestion would be to read the written review, because it goes into more detail and might give you the information you're hoping for.

Also, keep in mind that just because a game lacks clear negatives doesn't mean it is all-the-way awesome. There are degrees of positivity that separate the upper-range review scores, like describing something is "mild fun" as opposed to "immensely engaging." Wreckateer is good, arcade-y fun, but it's also limited in its appeal and depth.

@Chris_Watters I just read the written review but unless I missed something it seems like basically the same info. There were also no negatives in a "The Bad" heading at the beginning.

You're just too positive! Stop it! ;)

Actually just the last sentences in your response to my post:

"...is "mild fun" as opposed to "immensely engaging." Wreckateer is good, arcade-y fun, but it's also limited in its appeal and depth."

explained it for me. I think had you added that into the review it would have have balanced it out and been a satisfactory justification for the score.

That said, it's a small thing and shouldn't take away from the otherwise great job you did detailing the gameplay, mechanics, etc.

Keep up the solid work.

Doesn't look that bad really...from the E3 demo this looked like it would be terrible.

Can anybody afford shovelware after the Summer Sales?

Speaking of which. This code gets you 20% off at greenmangaming

PARTP-ALCNO-TIESU. As an example it makes Mass Effect 3 18 bucks. Not bad.

Something like this would be amazing with Red Factions Geo-Mod engine. One thing I liked about RFG was the level of destruction and actually being right in the middle of was awesome. I wish THQ had never took the game back into the tunnels because they had an awesome game.....

this kinda reminds me of Shrek for some reason....

@MJ12-Conspiracy RF Geo-mod engine has the best destruction model ever created for VG. This in the other hand is using pre-rendered destruction system similar with Dice frostbite engine. It seem to be a lot more destructible compared to BF3.
