It's all PC fans of Worms series would like it to be!
When I firstly attempt to play Worms Open Warfare 2,I thought it would be something like Worms World Party, but on PSP screen. I was wrong. This game is better than any PC or PSP ports of Worms games. Why? Firstly, AI was updated. I think it was rewritten completely! Previously, AI teams used only Bazooka, Grenades, Mines and Shotguns (and VERY rarely other basic weapons, like Air Strike). Now, on my first match, enemy worm used Super Sheep to kill my hidden worm. Surprisingly, enemy worms uses ALL available weaponary, can place Sentry Gun to earn time, can use Rocket Packs and Ninja Ropes to get to safety. Now the strength of AI worms lies not only on hitting your worm with bazooka from long distance, but also in strategic thinking.
Also,Team17 added customisation options. They're not as good as in 3D edition, but they do the job of making it easier to distinguish your worms from enemies.
What else was a mark of Worms series? Funny animations, sounds (when my team member collects a crate, he says "A donkey, a donkey, my kingdom for a donkey!") videos (here we have mastery of Worms video fun)and weapons (Buffalo of Lies rocks!). I have to say that Holy Hand Grenade is included, which is my favourite weapon (hallelujah, BANG),altrough it was modified (it don't have timer, it explodes when stops moving).
Now, I have to say what is bad in this game. Firstly, beating a campaign can be quite a challenge. I'm stuck on a battle 4 on 1, which is hard enough.
Secondly, some weapons were excluded. It's good, because some weak weapons were deleted (like Skunk or Mortar), but they have also ripped such powerful and witty armaments like Granny or Mad Cow!
And last, but all the means least-some people just don't like Worms series. I don't know why. This mix of strategy and fun is my favourite strategy game (even on PC). If they want strategy alone, go play chess...
Now, to conclude my rather long text, I would like to say, that Team17 has made a step into good direction. It's return of 2D Worms, which I really do like.
