So much potential, HORRIBLE execution

User Rating: 1.5 | Worms 2: Armageddon PS3
I have been playing these Worms games for a long time... Back in the SNES days to be specific. Have always loved them. The first Worms on the PSN was fantastic and I got hours and hours of game play out of it with several friends of mine. The only minor complaint I had was the online lobby system, but this was negligible due to the fact that you could play several back to back rounds before the game ended.

So, 2 friends and myself decided to upgrade and purchase Worms 2 last night, June 18th. Fired it up and started a game. The new graphics were beautiful, the new weapons showed great fun potential, and the game just seemed smoother. Needless to say all 3 of us were very excited about our purchase.

Then that round ended. Now just like the first one, when the game ends you just get kicked back to the games main menu. An annoyance yes, but as I said before a minor annoyance. So we go to set-up another game, which does take some time. The game gets set-up as "3 rounds to win," which negates the aforementioned irritation. This is where this game went from awesome to abysmal. Apparently the game is flawed in a HUGE way in that you can only play one round... No matter what "option" you select it defaults you back to ONE round.

This major flaw makes this game completely unplayable for us. We're not teenagers that go to eachother's houses after school and can play locally whenever we feel like it. We like towns apart and Online Multiplayer was the ONLY reason we each forked over $15 to Team 17 for this piece of crap. And yes, this flaw made this game a complete piece of crap.

We were further enraged to learn that Team 17 is fully aware of this problem and quite frankly doesn't give a crap. It either remains unaddressed in their forums or is answered with the statement "that was by design." How does that even make any logical sense whatsoever? Sounds more like a copout to me. "We already have your money and aren't concerned about fixing the old stuff. We have too much money to make on the new stuff, so sucks for you."

To summarize, I feel cheated and ripped-off. Team 17... how bout transferring some resources to make sure your games work instead of working on the next one. Don't expect another dime to come from me or any of my fellow gamer friends. Good day sir!
