Give this game a chance, it won't let you down...

User Rating: 9.5 | World Soccer Winning Eleven 8 PS2
This is yet another hit, from konami's best in the world soccer game series, "Winning Eleven." In this installment, though maybe it should have been added before, you can learn the rules of soccer if you don't know them already, taking you from the actual game rules, to telling you how to play the virtual game provided, with all the controls and all. Basically it tells you the basics of soccer, and then it tells you the controls of the game you just bought! I will try to keep this at minimum length but it may go a little, because I am converting excitement to words!

I can't tell you how happy I was when I got the game, and finally go to play with the likes of Ronaldo, C.Ronaldo, Kaka, Henry, Zidane, Figo, Beckham, just a select few of which you will be able to play with. Then comes in the clubs that you may enjoy just the same, well now it may be a bit outdated, but even though with the teams here you can enjoy a game of soccer at it's finest. It takes a while to adjust to the new game play but once you get used to the controls, which doesn't take long if you have played any of these games predecessors, but just having controls doesn't get you there, you have to look and carefully maneuver your team to its goals. But of course skill counts in two ways as well, one is your controlling of the player and his skill itself. Try taking a very skilled player, with high ratings, to a player who just started off, or had a bad career. Then the teams overall status in the game, is it winning or losing? This can affect the players and their overall motive to the game. This all winds up to be either a good or a bad thing, but still create a mean game of soccer.

Now for the features, it comes down to two different leagues, Master League, and League, then a Cup Mode, and a Match mode. The Master League lets you take a team through a full or half season. As well as keep them in good condition; get newer players to replace old, and thus the need to train rookies to soon take the place of a star. And in overall take a team through a large selection of matches and trying to keep them ranked high, and get them into an array of championship matches in which they may win cups. The next mode is a cup mode, in which you can't get new players and is only limited to playing with the selected set to get a few cups. The league mode is basically the same, just with no cups, and multiple matches. Last but not least a match mode to let your friends know who is better than em! The only other features are an edit mode, which mind you is very powerful if you want to edit current players or create your own, as well as make other modifications.

This game is by far the best, and I think there is no reason to fret when thinking what type of soccer game you want. Even if someone says this game sucks I think it should at least require a rent at the most, because if you like soccer this game should be in your game collection, or something your ps2 has played in the past, I bet even it won't regret it then! On the whole this game should be tried if not beated to death with love.
