This is the MMORPG for everyone.

World of Warcraft (or WoW, as it is often referred as) was released in 2004, and it revolutionized the genre forever, as you can now find a lot of free MMO's that have a similar style to WoW (such as Runes of Magic or Allods Online). This game is truly fantastic, it has virtually unlimited replay value, a lot of places to explore, and a fantastic community (most of the time at least).

There are 8 races to choose from (if you count the Burning Crusade expansion set), the Humans, Orcs, Gnomes, Undead, Night Elves, Trolls, Dwarf, Tauren, Dranei and Blood Elves. All have their own unique starting zone and they all have different styles (the orc and trolls have a desert, whilst the dwarves and gnomes have a snowy area).

You get some quests, which are indicated by the infamous '!' symbol, and they are all well done, even if they are rather simplistic. The combat system is the usual 'click and it'll attack' sort of thing, though you can use skills to do more damage (they all have sweet animations).

You later go on an visit your main city, most races have one (2 from each faction share one, however). This are well designed and are a good trading spot.

The next part is PvP, which is basically capture the flag between each alliance, sadly this is unbalances and you can have a Level 11 v Level 19.

The later game you can do 'instances and raids' which are basically dungeons that only have your party in them and no one else, these are very fun and give it alot of replay value at the endgame.

This game has distinct, cartoon style graphics, which give the name a unique feel (though sadly it's lost it's originality due to other games copying it).

Overall, this is a fantastic game with limitless options, and it shouldn't be missed by any MMORPG gamer.
