Normally this wouldn't piss me off since I always just went and did other things and would come back an hour or two after everyone was playing and wouldn't care. But now because your only chance at galleon is the split second the servers come back up I'm literally sitting here for hours spamming the stupid realm list. Stupid world boss!

yeah that's what I really hate too, your only other shot is the off-chance you're playing and they do server restarts, but that's rare
i don't want to be playing black ops and miss the servers come up but **** it there's not much more internet browsing i can do, already gettin bored

You can just keep this open in a tab and refresh it instead of opening WoW to check.
They'll make another post when the outage is over.

Because there is no such instance, lol. Just because it might be night/bed time for you does not mean it's night/bed time for 90% of the world. There is miraculous thing the Earth does that is called rotation which means that only a small portion of the earth is covered in darkness while the rest is not. With this marvelous thing in place, it means no matter what time Blizz does realm maintenance there will always be a chunk of people that will be whining and moaning about it.
So, what is the answer to the problem? Deal with it or stop playing WoW.

then why don't they do like A-G sever shutdown and restart and then H-O shut down and so on and so on. That way at least only 25% of players will be mad at you

Maints should start at 7am and last up to around 10 or 11am, I mean really who wants to play that early yeesh. EST timezone, because that's the one I'm in, thus the only one that matters.

Now why the **** doesnt Blizz do UNITED STATES maintenance from 1 am till 7am PST? Thats when it would honestly make the most sense. Yes there are people that would STILL be affected by this time but I highly doubt the MAJORITY would be.
So before preaching about how the planet earth has SOOOOO many time zones just THINK about where exactly this maintenance is taking place.

i'm just wondering what is most reliable outside of the client, is the realm status page or the blue post as reliable as trying to log on? because galleon dies like 5 minutes after the server comes up, if that

If they have work or school starting at 8 am why would they be up till 2 or 3 am?

Because they sleep too lol, they do this just like people in highway construction, they close down 1 lane right at rush hour traffic and cause huge delays lol, they won't pay overtime , even multibillionarie companies want to make more you know.
