When I haven't had played with WOW back in the time, I imagined the world as was in warcraft 3 cutscenes and videos, fantasy-like (and with today's shader technology more possible to create) and then, at one day in 2005 as I looked at the world I was like: not bad, but could be better, then as these expansions were coming out one after the other, it was obvious that dear Blizzard is just about to get more money, no matter what, players and (sorry for that) nerds will buy it, and continue playing it, and it's just sad how corrupted a big respected company can become. So they just dropping shitty models, ugly designs (just look at the Blood Elves, wtf?) so out of "warcraft's character". And the other thing, this tipical MMO style, that you click on the object, and tapping the damn buttons from 1-9 and etc., even Diablo had better system, it's more real, it's more deeper, even if it's simplier, wouldn't be a hack 'n' slash style more better? But of course I understand it's an old game from now (2004), so many things have been improved technology-like, and just we're looking at it and ... damn, this could have been so much better. So, my Idea: Single player mode, Crysis-like graphic, same sized world, but with so much better fantasies, and hack 'n' slash (like Rune and Dark Souls combined). I just wanted to write this, adios.

Amazing how there's nothing novel in this game (or the expansion) but so many people continue to play it...bravo Blizzard you captured crack in a video game.
@Speranza318 I agree. I still respect Blizzard because of its history and what this company meant for me as a gamer over the past 2 decades (especially in the 90s). But WoW has certainly corrupted this company. It has been both their triumph and their downfall. It brought them financial success beyond their wildest imagination, but clouded and confused their vision at the same time. In a way I can't blame them for keeping such a profitable game alive... But there comes a time when you have to look in the mirror and ask yourself if that is who you want to be for the rest of your life. I wonder what the veterans at Blizzard are thinking when they see Blizzard's reflection nowadays... If WoW had no happened, we might have been lucky to see a different Blizzard today.
What a ugly and childish boring MMO. When Blizzard is going to stop milking this cow

@Winterstrikes Another teenage nerd with Internet courage spouting sewage from his mouth. Mommy ground you for too long little Timmy?
@Simplythebest12 I generally like the handpainted textures in the game, but the fact that it's so low-poly makes it look borderline ugly for today's standards, I agree... WoW should have stopped at Lich King in my opinion.
Oh, so WoW has10 million subcribers? Please tell me more about how many of these subscribers are still playing it.
Push that microphone any further into his face and it'll appear out the back of his head.
Every time someone writes "10 Million subscribers" in retort to "WoW is dead" I read it in Dr. Evil's, voice followed by cackling.
The guy holding the microphone looks bored, LOL
So far I'm enjoying MOP, but I'm still making raid boss progression with my guild. I'm sure I'll get bored of it eventually, but for now I'm just enjoying hanging out with my online friends.
I bought two weeks after it came out. I have been playing off and on the whole time. I finally could not take it anymore. Fun memories, but it is just more of the same. Nothing really new. I started playing Eve Online. So much better and I am not looking back.
@TheOnlyConan I personally thought Eve Online was more boring than WoW reputation grinding, but to each their own. I'm hoping for a lot more out of Chris Robert's Star Citizen.
@arsefaceyLOL was thinking the same thing or he is totally checked out and not interested in what he has to say. It is WOW he's talking about just more of the same.
Oh oh another blizzard video clip. Let's express our hatred towards WoW and Diablo III haha
WOW is not a bad game. It just did it circle and needs to move on. If Blizzard keeps holding WOW more than it should then things go downhill. And it does not help to just revise the game graphics like Starcraft or Destroy it all the way like Diablo 3.
@SamehH99 the can't leave because their friends are there. It is the same like facebook. No one leaves despite the crappy platform because their friends are there.
@SamehH99 Well, given that the majority of them are likely Chinese gold-farmers, I'm not sure they'd understand if he told them that... well, without a translator.

the whole pandas and pokemon arena stuff definitely isn't for me personally, BUT, I saw a poll recently that showed this game is very successful with 8-12 year old Chinese boys, nerds who live in their parents basement, and furries (people who do it in fur costumes) cant wait to see what the next expansion is!!
@fa11en1134 if you want to distance yourself from furries & basement dwellers you should hide the 9.0 score you gave Star Wars MMO. as Chewbacca would say "wwwwrrrraaaaaaaaggggggghhhhhhBULLSHIT"
haha is that the best you could think of??? I "liked" your comment anyway buddy :)
At one time I used to spend more time on the PTR than most people did in the game. It was crucial to be at least server first. But then I just got sick of raiding. I played for a while doing old school raids by myself or another. collecting parts for legendaries, or just doing the gates questline. Then cataclysm came out, and the game was not for me anymore. I'm not bashing the game as I really do like the changes he mentioned, it is just it is 2 years too late for this guy.....
@flipsthebird I'm with you. My guild imploded after Cataclysm came out. People just got tired of the same old crap. I played the 10 day trial of MoP and I just felt like it's still world of grindcraft. It's not a bad game at all. 10 million subscribers is huge but the fan base is young kids who like Pokemon games; not the hardcore raiding crew anymore. I just found more to do in life than collecting 10 cow butts...
@flipsthebird many people are whining in MoP because its no longer the same as cataclysm though
/random chance of getting access to a huge new piece of content... gg blizz everyone loves their chances with your /randoms.
I've been playing for 7 years. I'm still supporting the game and it's community, but everything has gone downhill for a while, and even if you choose to blind yourself, you're openly admitting to two things: you're pretty new to the game or you have no sense of the kind of money Blizzard is making off of you. I know it's demanding and costly to keeps servers running, but loads of them here in the EU and in America too, as far as i can understand on the forums, are pretty low on population. Right now lore seems to be the focus of the game, but it's done through shi**y dailies. The raid finder is the worst thing to have happen to WoW. I've used the RF once, and i don't intend to use it ever - it's a retarded function, that makes people ingame dumber. It's a free loot system, and no blue post on the forums should tell you otherwise. There's NOTHING fun about it. I went in because i like exploring, and i found out, how cheap and unsatisfying it felt, so i didn't care for it ever again. While i did enjoy leveling from 85 to 90 (some found it a struggle, and it was harder than expected) it seems that leveling is actually the only thing fun for me anymore. A new level seems like more progress to me, than anything else, yet i'm leveling my 5th toon now, to reach 90 - it's... it's very geeky is what it is !Blizzard have two very simple things they need to adjust in my honost opinion: they need to be able to seperate the hardcores from the casual players - like it or not, the raid finder shouldn't actually give you gear, and if anything it should only be blues. Epics are known to be the best items in-game, and it's a psychological thing that happens when you see your character closer to full-epic, you think you're progressing and being really good at the game, but that's not the case as a casual, that's only a case of how much time you put into it. Secondly they really really really really need to upgrade character models, and they have had no rational excuse so far, as to why they didn't prepare that for MoP. Pandas and Goblins looks so much better than the rest of the races, it's sickening. I know that they said they are working on it, but it's like a year ago or something they said that, i cannot imagine that they actually ment it, because money wise it shouldn't be a big deal.
the cgi is so surrealistic.
they are trying to market and convince that a panda can excel in martial arts with a stick and inspire fright in any battlefield.
it's a laughable sequence i think.
To be fair, they're also marketing the existance of magic, dragons, time travel, immortality, ghosts, giant spiders, etc. Oh, and gnomes.
i don't understand your reply, the things you mention market themselves, they are standard in a setting of fantasy. you can try to market the notion of time travel or immortality to a pragmatist but you don't need to for a crowd of casual gamers.
but you do need to market the mental image of a threatening martial arts panda and expect to be taken seriously.

While I've stopped playing WoW many months ago for various reasons, I find nothing wrong with the fact that other people still enjoy it and choose to keep playing it. Stop being petty and understand that the only person childish here is you by making statements like this. Grow up.
@JIMDOG4442002 Except the video compression kills fidelity making anything out of date look even more out of date.
@JIMDOG4442002 Yea you are right, is the same as kids still playing games like CoD cause they like to play toy soldiers. This is sad how ppl judge by graphics instead of gameplay, if ppl only looks only for graphics no wonder why every single year they buy CoD series, "checks this out, new weapons!!!", not only in games "look bigger screen!"
@JIMDOG4442002 lol you are funny by this time you probably know or should know that graphics its only part of a good game and wow its a great game dont you ask how it has manage to standout even to high end graphic mmos like conan, LOTRO, starwars this games have better graphics but none can compare to wow at least not yet.

@xyqiew @arizothwow @JIMDOG4442002 GW2 copied what it could from WoW, still its far worse. At least it is free. I got my refund, I don´t care anymore.
It should be...i don't care if it was warcraft lore or not i mean come on pandas really??
@linksfire Pandarens have been in the Warcraft Lore for ages , they were even before Warcraft 3 came out
@Darnasian @linksfire Yes - but they were only seen briefly and meant completely as an easter egg. It does not qualify them for expansion material in my opinion.
@Darnasian @gufberg @linksfire I am not here to argue with you whether or not the Pandaren are a justifiable race for Warcraft. If you personally like them, that's fine. If you don't like them, that's also fine. Everyone's got their preference and opinion. But what I want to do is correct you. You said that they were around long before Warcraft 3. That is not true. The Pandaren as a Warcraft race were conceptualized (vaguely) during the development of Warcraft 3 and only appeared as a mercenary unit hired at a tavern in Warcraft 3: The Frozen Throne. It's also important to note that at that time they were never developed to the extent that other races like Humans, Orcs, Night Elves, Undead, Eredar, etc were. They began as a potential race in a lighthearted way simply because one of Blizzard's chief artists loved drawing pandas in battle gear. This is why they seem out of place for a big chunk of the fanbase and why some fans don't consider them canon.
@gufberg @linksfire Well , that's your opinion and I respect it , however I do not see them as just an "easter egg" since they were in the story before , they weren't seen in the games before , but that doesn't change the fact that they existed imo.
@Darnasian @linksfire Correct. That still doesnt change the fact that they were only seen briefly and mentioned as part of a blizzard 'joke' as i said before. An easter egg does not qualify as expansion material in my opinion.
@gufberg @linksfire Dude , you got it pretty wrong there. Pandarens were long before War 3 RT came out in the Lore. Lore=/= The games themselves as a whole. The Pandaren in War 3 was just a cameo , but they were long before mentioned in the Lore countless times in many books , comics , stories etc.
They qualify as expansion material whether people like it or not. They are 100% legit and people should inform themselves before commenting shit like " PANDAS?!?!?OMFG BLIZZARD IS HIGH!"
