What isn't built in solid concrete, can be destroyed!
Imagine a war between tanks in different cities around the world. Then imagine that those tanks could use special powers like nukes and homing missiles. Now you're on the right track. This game brings in all the fun and excitement of destroying things and riding around in giant tanks, to the Playstation 2. Choose from tons of different tanks of different sizes, weights, and abilities. Then choose from cities like St. Petersburg, Detroit, Boston, Atlantis, and many others. Next set the match settings, and engage in an all-out war against your opponents. From nuclear warfare to push and shove, you can do anything in this destruction game. Topple city monuments and enemy tanks, in different matches such as capture the flag, destruction, and other exciting matches.
The multi-player functions and compatabilities are superb and extensive. Challenge up to six friends to mayhem, and prepare to raise hell. You would not believe the kinds of things that you can do in this game.
The graphics are intact, so don't worry about cheesy defeats. Surprisingly, this games graphics could be compared to many high-class Playstation 2 games including Final Fantasy X and Drakengard. Each tank is shown in near perfect detail, down to the scratches dealt when you scrape a rail! Enemies on screen remain in detail, even at extensive distances, and the buildings and surroundings are excellently laid out and detailed. Even the aerial views necessary for such moves as the satellite laser are intact and detailed. Explore deep and rich environments that don't lose interest easy.
The audio on this game is quite good, and all of the carnage is reported comically by the announcers. Such sayings as "Pass the butter Ma", "Prepare for chili con carnage", and "He'll feel that one tommorrow" lighten the atmosphere. But don't think that they took it easy on the explosion sounds. Even through the chaos, this game maintains it's audio quality quite well.
Destruction is the theme, so expect long matches in the story mode, and excellent announcer reports after the matches. This game definately paid attention to the detail in the graphics and audio!

There's never a dull moment with Thunder Tanks! With special moves ranging from plasma blasts to flying around, Thunder Tanks really raises the adrenaline levels! I recommend this game to all fans of destruction games, tank warfare games, battle games, fighting/action games, and anyone who is looking for a good multiplayer or single player destruction game!
