World Championship Poker, it says that on the box, but thats not what you get in the game.

I feel I have been forced to write a review about this game. I have spent up to 40 hours playing it (self employed, quiet time of year for trade), and have now just nearly completed it. But, to complete it, you do not need to be good a poker, in fact, you don't need to know how to play poker. When you playing in the tournaments, and you whittle your opponents down to 1 or 2, it seems they know what your 2 starter cards are. That sounds strange & unfounded, yeah? I thought the same...for a while.
When your are playing against one other player and you are dealt a pair of cards, or a couple picture cards, the computer 80% of the time folds immediately on his/her turn. Now, if they don't fold, they check. Now when you consider bets can rise to $40,000 a game, after they check you raise $100 miserly dollars....yep you have guessed it....they FOLD!
It is so frustrating, to me its bad programming, not a glitch. You try chasing them out with a crap hand, they see right through you. This makes the game play unplayable after a while (I have given this game far too much time!).
On the other hand, if you have a mate with a DS, ideal. Good graphics, a bit of customization, sorted. But, if you are looking for a 1 player game, this will leave you very disappointed. Hope this stops someone throwing their DS at a door.
