1 Like I absolutely loved Raven Software's latest game "Singularity" from 2010, so I think I might enjoy this 2009 release of Wolfenstein by them as well :)

this is a mediocre game. average is the very definition but i had a good time playing it

@Lithos_: It may be immersive, and it does have atmosphere, but there are still a lot of issues. The AI does suck sometimes, the graphics and lighting aren't the best for the time, and charactor models in game are so stiff it's hard to take them seriously. How much you get out of this game depends on how much you can overlook these problems. I do, and that's why I love it so much. But the quirks ARE there, so I think 7.5 is spot on.

just picked it up for 5 $ at eb games (canadian gamestop) actually pretty fun and found some multiplayer matches all that for 5 bucks . to me 7.5 is about right .
@daxlks i had to give ur comment a thumbs up because i do agree giving red dead redemption a one was a mistake. The first time a played it the first few missions with bonnie were borning but i recently start playing it again but this time a little longer and i gotta say once you get past the first missions its fun. But dark messiah does deserve a 7.5.

What was the problem here? The publisher didn't give enough advertising money? A game like this receiving 7.5 is a BAD joke! Its atmosphere, ambiance and immersion are something so, so rare, that only in one shooter or another you'll find anything similar. This game is a beyond rare gem. It's so fun and immersive that you manage to completely focus on it, truly forgetting anything else while playing. The sole purpose of games is to be fun. And Wolfenstein reveals one thing: that it was created out of true gamers inspiration, definitely not a case of a just another "in search of more money" episode. The setbacks mentioned here are so irrelevant that Kevin not only reveals, but more than proves one thing: a complete lack of sensibility. OR it's the first thing cited: The publishers haven't paid enough to get a fair review. In the meantime, less than mediocre titles, to put it lightly, like Dragon Age 2 deserve better, right? Of course, it's EA and Bioware, so they don't have the nerve to write a faithful review or (probably the case) receive enough money to do so (but I do believe it's both things combined, in BOTH cases). Remember the guy who was fired for telling the truth about Kane and Lynch? It's the same all over here. Damn pity is is 01:18 AM now and I have to wake up early. Just a tip: watch the Dragon Age II review: it's so insincere that you can't believe a word of it, even if you really want to. Shame on you Kevin. Show some personality!

My friend got this game from our hostel LAN. He absolutely loved it. As soon as i get my lappy to my collage i am planning to playing some games. Will likel give this one a try too.
The review is accurate but 7.5 is still generous, too generous. Still, a good AI could been made this game for little more than that score.
I had a lot of fun playing throught this game and this would have been my personal game of the year had it had the amount of weapons "return to castle? wolfenstien" had. Why such few weapons in this game? The original game had a huge arsenal of real world and scifi weapons. Why no tommy gun? Why no Venom Gun?WHy no 1911 pistol?? Why no stengun?? Why no mouser?? So many other guns too fromt the original that this doesn't have.. WHY RAVEN?!?!? WHY?!?!? I don't understand the logic game developers have these days. If this game had more weapons it would of gotten a 9.5 out of 10 from me.
For me there are to many flaws and not enough pluses.I like the shooting, killing nazis, sound. but i don't like the reloading, nazis poping outa nowhare, and the minor glitches.

Good review! I think I'll try this & or Singularity! Both Raven-Software games! great dev's.
Not bad at all Aaron, its just that without the flamethrower, proton gun and paricle gun, the game seems a bit bland and forgettable. Going back through the same town, gunning down the same enemies at the start of every mission doesnt help either. Just my opinion of course, I know a couple of people who really liked it.
Well I just finished it. A bit disappointed overall, probably give it a 6.5 rating. The whole game on hard was pretty simple except for the final boss which was impossible!
3/4 of the way through this and I have to say, it's a bit boring. A few of the weapons handle well and are fun to use but it's very similar to Call of Duty 3 in that it's a quite repetitive WW shooter. In that way, it's not much fun to play. AI is stupid too, painfully.
This is a good review, I agree completely. The game's good and a bunch of flaws won't stop you playing it :)
Finally picked up Wolfenstein,its now definitely one of my favorite shooters,instant classic.
Van ord is not without his flaws but You can tell how smart he is in crafting ways to praise and criticize. Maybe I'll borrow this one from my friend.Looks mildly entertaining.
