The game isn't really up to its name. It has its moments, but most of the time it's uninspired and boring.

This was one of the games I was waiting for this year and I must say I am quite disappointed.

The graphics look old, although I like the cartoon-ish blood - same as in Far Cry 2 (by the way, there are too much similarities with FC2).

The story is quite uninteresting. To the point where you'd rather skip the cinematics, thinking: "yeah, yeah, right, just bring me back to where I can shoot people and spare me the crap".

When I say shooting people - this can be fun, I must admit, especially with some of the "special" weapons. The fun comes from the effect you cause on enemies though, rather than any challenge. Most of the bad guys are really stupid. Sometimes they stand with their backs towards you, wondering where the shooting comes from. The timing of the grenades is just pathetic. When I see a grenade flying towards me, I leave my PC, I go to the kitchen, make myself a cup of coffee, drink it, watch a show on the TV, then sit back on the PC, take the grenade and look for about half an hour where to throw it back. It's just ridiculous how much time you have to throw these things back.

The game has some atmosphere, but the mission collecting layer kinda ruins it. First of all, everyone speaks English, and I can't really find any excuse about it.

Secondly, the game is still very linear and the fact that you can swap the order of a mission or two does not really bring any "open world" feeling. The feeling is more like "linear game with some running through the same roadblocks with the same enemies just to get to your next objective".

All in all, this game had some potential but it ends up as a mediocre summer title to play while waiting for some real games in September.

P.S. Oh, and Return to Castle Wolfenstein was scary. This isn't.
