It's kind of a Gears of War on the N64, albeit stripped down. It's very, very good though.

User Rating: 8.5 | Operation WinBack N64
I love stealth games. And Resident Evil. And Gears of War. So maybe I am a bit ahead of the time, to be playing Gears of War and then playing Winback, but I wasn't disappointed. Winback proves to be an excellent game that can be compared to Gears of War in every way.
Graphics: I was surprised. The Humans look great, along with the explosions and everything else. They were quite sharp.
Gameplay: Good, stealthy fun. Lots of Crouching, going against a wall, rolling, shooting, and aiming to shoot, like Gears of War. Seriously, if you like Gears of War then this game is great for you. The game, however, is punishingly difficult. There's a lot of backtracking to be found and many of the environments are repeated far to often, with one or two minor differences each time. Also, the Checkpoints are exceedingly difficult to get to, and many times you'll find yourself trying to figure out what to do. Much like Ghost Recon, you have very little health, and can be shot some 3 times by a pistol, 2 times by a shotgun, and very little by anything else. Moreover, the Laser puzzles are annoying.
The Multiplayer is extremely fun, and deathmatch owns. However, the aiming and shooting cubes is very boring. Everything else is great. 9.2/10
Sound: The gunshots and explosions sound great, but there isn't enough speech. However, the songs are repetitive, boring, and far too simple for me. Also, they're repeated too often. Especially when you hear various songs when you're hurt. 7/10
Story: Very interesting and tense. 8.2/10
Bosses: Quite difficult and varied. The first boss isn't much to talk about but she sure is rather difficult! 8/10
Overall: Winback is difficult, fun, and very cool. Grab it, Gears of War fans!
