    Hey what's the name of the song playing in the background? It sounds like Jet, but I'm not sure. Oh and the game looks like its gonna be really good.

    I'm so excited this year for NHL'09 since there is so many more features compared to '08! I can't wait to try out the "Be a Pro" mode.

    looks amazing, and nice ideas NYCgoalie, all of those, PLUS A SAVE REPLAY MODE FOR ONCE!

    This is gonna be about as good as it gets in video hockey..Already got my name for the EASHL....Krushelnyski....Look for me on the left wing...They should also include linesmen and a 2nd Ref...Hockey is by far the best game to play in the video world ...constant action...better than Madden although Madden is great in and of itself....Love golf too...

    Those are all great ideas, except the one about making the goals smaller or larger. That's kind of a waste of time. Here's another idea, how about they actually make the arenas look like their real life counterparts. For example, every single AHL arena looked exactly the same. That sucks

    things to make nhl '10 perfect:

    1) fantasy draft mode
    2) Add famous retired players (i.e. - howe, bossy, messier, borque, tretiak, etc.; including these kinds of players would make for an awesome fantasy draft!!!!)
    3) Add past teams (how about replaying the 1984 cup finals, or the first canada cup? how would the 2008 penguins do against the 1985 oilers. this makes for some unreal possibilities!!!)
    4) customize the rinks (make the goals larger or smaller; remove the red line, the blue lines or both; add or take away the current trapeziod behind the net; place the end line as far or as close to the boards as you'd like; let the current players play in an international size rink; etc.)
    5) make the fans at the rink more realistic (have ranger$ fans scream "potvin sucks"; have islanders fans scream "the ranger$ suck" during the chicken dance song; have detroit fans throw and octopus on the ice; visibly lower fan attendance when a team is playing poorly; etc.)
    6) customize the rules - take away the instigator rule; allow for no-touch icing; allow for different point systems (ex. 3 points count for a win, 2 points for OT win, 1 point for shootout win)
    7) For Lord's sake - when a player touches the goalie, there has to be a fight!! I just trip over the goalie in NHL '08 and nothing ever happens?!?! That's not hockey like I know it. Touch the goalie, and there WILL be fighting words spewed.

    these are a few things i can think of. c'mon ea, let's be creative!!!! it's never too early to think about nhl '10 !!!!!!
