Shippin' Out October 22-26: Ratchet & Clank, Jericho, Conan, Phoenix Wright

The week's headliners joined by Namco Bandai's Ace Combat 6, Naruto on the Wii and DS, Eye of Judgment, and Zack & Wiki, among many others.

Ever ones to cause problems, Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction may or may not make their next-gen debut on the PlayStation 3 this week. The game, which was originally slated for October 23, was bumped to October 30 even after Insomniac Games had laid the last line of code. With manufacturing complete, Sony has given retailers the go-ahead to put the last Lombax and his mechanical confederate in play as of its original ship date, October 23. Rated E10+ for Everyone 10 and Older, Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction will wreck their mayhem on the PS3 for $59.99.

Insomniac's platformer isn't the only high-profile console-exclusive this week. PS3 owners scope out the fantasy-inspired The Eye of Judgment, where tangible cards are used to wage war in virtual environments. Powering the conflict is Sony's latest camera, the PlayStation Eye, which is also available as a $39.99 stand-alone product this week. Namco Bandai's supersonic arcade fighter Ace Combat 6: Fires of Liberation sets the Xbox 360 alight this week, available solo or in a $150 bundle with the first flight accessory for Microsoft's console, Hori's Ace-Edge Flightstick. The Wii gets a pair of anticipated exclusives as well, with Capcom bringing Zack & Wiki: Quest for Barbaros' Treasure and Tomy and D3 giving Naruto his next-gen debut with Clash of Ninja Revolution.

Exclusives aside, two very-much M-for-Mature multiplatform releases hit this week. Codemasters sounds the horns on its paranormal shooter, Clive Barker's Jericho. With demented monsters aplenty, Clive Barker's latest crossover into the interactive space spooks the Xbox 360, PC, and PS3. For those hankering to pillage and wench, THQ is bringing Conan to market. Robert E. Howard's Cimmerian brute makes a mess of mangled bodies on the Xbox 360 and PS3.

A near-obscene number of Nintendo DS games are expected to hit retail this week as well. Tomy will be bringing Naruto: Path of the Ninja, originally released for the Game Boy Advance in Japan, to the Nintendo DS. Other headliners for the DS include Phoenix Wright's return to the courtroom in Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trials and Tribulations, as well as Square Enix's Front Missions, a mech-centric strategy game originally released for the Super Nintendo.

The Wii's Virtual Console continues the classic gaming. Lunar Pool, originally released stateside for the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1987, marries billiards with miniature golf and is available for 500 Wii points ($5). Originally released only in Japan, Ninja JaJaMaru-kun is an action game and carries the premium NES-port price of 600 Wii points ($6). Initially released in North America exclusively through Sega's early experiment in digital distribution--the Sega Channel--Golden Axe III is available for 800 Wii points ($8).

With the PC version out a day earlier, Battlestar Galactica gives sci-fi gamers a valid reason to scream frak into their Xbox Live headsets on Wednesday. Accompany the multiplayer-centric space shooter on Xbox Live Arcade this week is Taito's puzzler with an escape strategy, Exit. Both games are available for 800 Microsoft points ($10).

Hey, G4's X-Play gave Rachet & Clank a 5 out of 5!! I think if your a fan of the original R & C or even Jak and Daxter, you should go get this title. These two titles, judging by the screenshots and videos, have some of the best graphics I've seen.

first of all i dont know if gamespot is bias but a few that work for gamespot are 100% bias based on the interviews i have seen them take from a 360 maker vs some1 who is 3rd party exclusive to ps3 WOOOO WHAT PS3 Exclusive no way...> that their responce not in anyway showing any postive vibe to the system and how does that make the ps3 owner feel and 360 ohh yea THE BEST GAMES.......dude whatever just take the interview i wanna know the game news not how u FREAKING FEEL ABOUT THE SITUTATION!!!!!! and who ever does all the reviews for gamepot alwayss looks at the glass half empty when looking at any new ps3 game trying to make it out in the market........for example R&C didnt like the ending every other person needs to find out on their own and have a honest opnion u burffing off the actuall ending in the freaking reveiw video is not in anyway something a review requires........or ask for..........example all the problem that were pointed out where not practial they were person =al to how that "ONE" person that reviewd it felt so not a tru way of reviewing a game all the problems that were pointed out i can easly find in any other games that got over 9 biggest example halo3 i have all three platform i played halo3 for 4hrs on the launch night and i finished the game already.....in most of the fans opnion the story and the gameplay and everthing combined.......... its truelly a halo2.5 not a new halo so woo woo wooo its got a 9.5 soo the reviewer on that game saw the glass half full weak ending very repative in inviroments and identity is no different or batter than R&C based of the principle so bottom line ur reviews truelly held a strong honest hold over how i buy games and for sure after seeing the bias narrowed and negative approach to things reallly have left ur review no value and its sad the i see that the heart of the people wowrking there is not where it should be and gaming as a whole not just WII or 360 and crap on PS3 and fun is missing from some of the people that are sitting in the big boss seats. SAD TIMES i will still come to your site for news keep this negative approach up with the glass half empty approach towards ps3 and glass half full on 360 than it will be that obvious that its going to loos its value and will show again that peoples their heart is not in place its bias so ur either with us or agaisnt us approach not welkoming all "VIDEO GAMES FANS" since this is a video game site. laters

Why havent they reviewed Clive Barkers Jericho yet. Why hasnt any site. And im not evening going to count 1ups review. and for this whole "WTF DID THEY GIVE R&C A 7.5". Im a fan on the ps3, but honestly, ratchet and clank is too short. And theres not that much replay, especially when they decided not to add multiplayer. Plus, nothing THAT new and exciting has been added to the game... so 7. 5 is actually spot on. btw, i look at game reviews to check out if a games worth trying or not. If a game i REALLY wanted to play (aka Lair) got REALLY bad reviews, im still gonna check it out to see just why it got so bad. Reviews shouldnt stop people from getting a game, it should help them decide "should i rent this game first or spend 60 bucks on it then hate it".

Said it elsewere and I'll say it again. Gamespots R&C review is worse than garbage - it's misleading. If you want to save face while fixing what is clearly a biased review (if you don't like a genre don't review it, I didn't see an anti-FPS gamer review halo) you sould let this game receive a second review to sit next to first and leave it at that. Everyone who has at least started to play R&C is baffled. With games like this a rating says more about the site than the game.

Why do you people cry about reviews so much? Who cares? If you buy a game based off just ONE websites review, you are very foolish. Check gamerankings if you want the whole story. But don't flame gamespot because they rate games lower, it's a waste of time and shows how immature alot of you are. *shakes head*

    Wow. Whining. Cut it out.

They gave skate. like 7/10 after the rave previews by everyone else, and after buying it I thought GameSpot was wrong.

After owning it for a week I totally agree.

And stop with the fanboy stuff, I mean jees, noone is THAT sad.
