    LOL it used to be sonic collecting rings and beating bosses with just physical strength then you get sonic riding on a hover board and now he has a sword........what will they make next LOL

    I think they should of released it on a different sstem, it would of got a better rating.

    Just a minute ago i checked out underrated IGN review for this game. As for me it looks like a very good and polished game even with all of this new and very strange things as for original Sonic game. IGN sucks with this one for sure. I hope that Gamespot will did it right.

    Game looks awesome. If the on rails controls are gone (I believe they are gone), then I'm definitely getting this game. This trailer has proven me wrong that this game will look bad. Also, I believe there are 4 playable characters in this game including Sonic (I think it's Sonic, Blaze, Knuckles and Shadow). It is also known that Silver is in this game as well, but I'm not too sure.

    Game looks excellent. With 3 other characters in it and each character having a different ability, this game should be a success; it may even beat Sonic Unleashed since it's all high-speed action!

    The 4th Sonic game that has been rated E10+.

    Also, just because it has a sword doesn't mean it's Shadow The Hedgehog all over again. If Sega merges the sword play with the speed correctly, then this can be a great game. Shadow had a gun because of... his personality. This is a medieval setting when soldiers had swords during the Middle Ages and those times as weapons so this game is an exception for Sonic having a sword in his possession. Still, the homing attack is gone... hopefully it's not gone forever. I bet Sega removed it just so that the sword is used as a attacking object and it isn't redundant as the weapons were in Shadow The Hedgehog (since the homing attack pretty much finishes the job for Shadow in that game).

    Are there lives in that game? In some gameplay videos, I couldn't find the lives display. The rings are also clevery hidden as well. I wonder what happens if Sonic gets 100 rings...

    OMG is right, but aren't they going just a little overboard with the whole weapon wielding deal? I mean what happened to the classic spin-bash-razors on his back that made him the hedgehog he is now? It doesn't seem like a bad Idea, but at least some more innovation is needed before they make a high-speed dynasty warrior type game.

    The sword isn't pointless, Sonic can still do the works of his old 3-D games.

    i dont get it. why is the sword even there. from this trailer it seems completely redundant. whats the sword gonna do that randomly jumping on dudes didn't do in other games?

    Wow, this actually looks good!
    But that's the thing, SEGA is an expert on making things look good.
    Only time will tell, and at least the Werehog is gone, though this seems to play like SATSR

    Hmmm... It looks a lot better than I expected! I am a Sonic fan, but i had originally thought the idea of Sonic with a sword was a little odd, and would not produce very good results. However, I'm glad I've been proven wrong!
