Agatha Christie clued in on Wii

The Adventure Company porting PC game Agatha Christie: And Then There Were None to Nintendo's console.

Sherlock Holmes had his funny little hat and pipe, Columbo had his trenchcoat, and soon, gamers will have their Wii Remotes. Mystery is coming to the Wii. The Adventure Company today revealed that Agatha Christie: And Then There Were None is in development for Nintendo's newest console.

The game is a console port of the 2005 PC game of the same name (which itself was based on Christie's novel of the same name), but it will take full advantage of the motion-sensitive Wii Remote. Gamers will spin the controller to turn the handles of safes, unearth clues by mimicking a digging motion, and more.

The story sees 10 strangers gathered at an estate on an isolated island, where their disembodied host accuses them of murder and hatches a devious plan to kill them all.

Agatha Christie: And Then There Were None for the Wii is due out in stores this November and has not yet been priced or rated. For more information on the game, read GameSpot's review of the PC version.

I bought this today, i'm already sucked into the action. The game does a good job of warping you in. It's very creepy, and it takes a lot of brainpower, but I love these type of P.A.C games, just like Broken Sword, etc..

i love these type of games. i think it will work really well with the wii motion controls. i hope there are more to come. adventure games may not have things to blow up but sometimes its fun to use your brain and really get into a game and feel like your really there solving puzzles and waiting to find out the conclusion is really suspense perfection. i'm only in my twenties so it is not grannies that like these games. besides its probaly the twelve yr olds making fun of the game cause they dont read and want to act like they are adults so "they only play so call mature games" when in reality mature games does not mean more blood more gore and more explosions.

10 little indians, all feeling fine. One went and choked himself and then there were 9 . . . I hope the ending in the game is different than the book. Otherwise, I already know who did it!

I'm 20 and happen to like agatha christie games, its just a fun platform for it to be released on, no one has issues if the pc releases this game, just as you would accept it if microsoft put it on the 360. If you dont like using your brain in a game dont buy it DUH! no skin off your nose. and also if its a granny market i guess theres alot out there with DS's playing hotel dusk with their knitting needles at the side of them. or maybe secretly all grannys are hip and are into domination of your souls...nah...

I was always a fan of mystery/adventure games so I'm looking forward to hearing more on how this game will handle the transition to the Wii console. Games like this, however, are only going to appeal to certain gamers. --Evilsmiler, we already know how you feel about the game, pls stop taking up comment space. Also this is a third party game it has nothing to do with Nintendo trying to shake any kind of 'stereotype'.

So are Nintendo trying to shake off the "Kiddy Console" stereotype by going for the Grandma and Grandpa market now?

Way to cash in on the youth trends of today.

The Adventure Company has been keeping the adventure game genre alive with several decent (and rather under appreciated) games for the PC. Actually being able to interact physically with the environments via the Wiimote will make the games even more immersive. I already have the game for PC but I haven't beaten it yet. Now I'll probably wait to finish it on the Wii. I love adventure games and I think the Wii will be a great place to play them. Do you remember a time when you had to "pick up" and "look at" stuff in games and not just blow everything up? Oh, and WHAT DOES EVERYONE HAVE AGAINST AGATHA CHRISTIE?!? She's not one of the top selling authors of ALL TIME for nothing!

It is much easier for a 3rd Party developer to become familiar with a new developers kit if they are working with code they already know. Nobody likes ports, especially if it is one that hasn't been well received in the past, but we can give them the benefit of the doubt. Let them get familiar with the Wii on this one and then they can come out with new, original games that take advantage of the Wii's unique features.

I don't think I am going to buy this, since I already know how it ends. But if they had a Poirot game with David Suchet doing his voice, I would buy it right away.
