The graphics and the environment of this game is awesome. Could have been a must-have if they make the duels right.

I think that the game would've been great, if your lightsaber would move the way you move the wii remote. That would be awesome

It looks nice on graphics but gameplay looks and sounds bad.
Its sad too cus there is so much the Wii can do but not many publishers are making good games. Mario, Zelda, Metroid, Smash Bros, Mario Kart, Wii Sports, thats where its at.....

looks bad tbh. cartoony characters and more waggle motion controls. Ill pass.

"You have much to learn my young padawan" wow that was bad. Looks like an ok game though.

The TV spots for this game are horrible.
Those G-rated insults are really stupid.

Looks like it has some good ideas and all, but like the movie, I think they toned it down for younger Star Wars fans.

    Posted Nov 17, 2008 5:14 pm PT

Oh, and this reviewer wasn't bad. Lines were a little cheesy, but this guy was still okay.

  • SilentCard

    Posted Nov 17, 2008 5:09 pm PT

I agree with GamerTron0! A clone shooter would have been great. It would have been a more kiddied-up game, but still, most Star Wars shooters are pretty good.

  • GamerTron0

    Posted Nov 16, 2008 4:41 pm PT

I thought this game was great, the fighting is good and all that. But i think there shoud be a clone wars shooter with clone troopers they can have it like a sequel to this.

    This reviewer new?
    ..Haven't seen him before
Ah oh well, pretty good. The reviewer, I mean. This just looks like another lackluster fighting game. I agree with diggyman, a first person lightsaber fighting game with the Motion Plus would have emulated light saber duels better. Oh well.

  • diggyman

    Posted Nov 14, 2008 2:02 pm PT

SIMPLISTIC CONTROLS? Aw man... too bad this game didn't come out later when wii motion plus hits the scene. I would much rather want to angle my saber precicely as I want to. There was a Light Saber Toy Video Game thing that came out a couple Christmases ago. A toy light saber and a 2D sensor (one single sensor as opposed to Wii's two sensors for 3d action). It was 1st person and it actually worked fairly well. I'm surprised they haven't taken that approach yet for a starwars game on the wii. I hope to see one when Wii MOTION PLUS becomes the norm.

I wish he would have spent a little more time talking about exactly how the remote is used to perform lightsaber attacks, but I don't even have a Wii, so I guess it doesn't really matter, haha.

  • Sux138

    Posted Nov 14, 2008 3:30 am PT

the game acctually looks very cool!

but what do you expect from a Lightaser fighting game with motion controls?
if you come to think theres no way a game like this would be competitive as Street Fighter or KoF
some people talk about the motion plus, but it also wouldnt do nothing to the game
we just have to face it as a game for kids, and they sure will love aimlessly shake the remote until you enemy is down

  • DiscoJoy

    Posted Nov 14, 2008 2:44 am PT

Certainly looks better than I anticipated, although I'm all too familiar with less-than-spectacular motion controls making for a disappointing overall experience. At the very least, it is one of the best-looking pieces of animation I've seen on the Wii. Chances are, it will get an early 2009 purchase, but there are just too many other things out at the moment to wiggle my Wii-mote at this before Christmas. Good review!

  • danopix

    Posted Nov 13, 2008 5:17 pm PT

Good review. You definately would want the light saber to be the primary damage dealer during a fight instead of the force pushes etc.

  • trodeback

    Posted Nov 13, 2008 4:00 pm PT

I don't know if it is or not but it would seem that this game would do much better on a 360 or PS3 considering the annoying combo movements needed to be performed on the Wii controllers.

a 6.5 is actually higher than what I expected. Most surprising thing to me is that the score for this game is higher than what GS scored the Wii version of SW: The Force Unleashed (6.0).

why have they removed the score from the end of the video?

  • Lazyimperial

Jon Miller was really good in this review. His presentation was well done, and the video editing was great. Might want to watch out about his hands though. Every time the video came back to him, they started drifting to the sides and waving repetitively. Still, that's a real minor flaw. I'm just a nit-picker. Also, I might have to rent this just for the stupid factor. 6.5 qualifies it for at least a night or two of idiocy and shame that I'll never talk about near any of my friends.
