    PS2?! Why? :S What reason could there be to put it on the PS2 rather than on the PS3? I thought the PS2 was dead :O

    i actually like the idea of the remake because i loved the original silent hill & the thought that im going to relive it with better graphics & wii's gameplay gets the juices flowing but im affraid they might ruin it for us somehow...what they say about it & what we've seen so far looks promising...but just tell me how many trailers & videos of different games looked promising to you & it finally left you disappointed?-plus i dont like harry's new face, the original was better he looks like a nerd!

    Cant wait to play this game, it looks awesome.
    I'm just wondering how they did the controls on the psp and ps2 version, they are all bragging about the new controls with the wii-remote, that the new wii-remote gameplay with greatly increase your experience with the game and such, but does this mean that the psp and ps2 controls will make it kinda dull? They obviously cant do the same things with the psp and ps2 as they did with the wii. I just hoipe the psp and ps2 versions wil also be proper playable and still have that typical SH feeling and atmoshpere.
    I just hope they are not putting all their effort into the wii game and screwing it up on the other 2 platforms.

    oh my god!!!!! this game is gonna be the worst silent hill ever, the silent hill 1 and 2 is the best sillent hills the rest is sucks, now this guys make remake of the original game!!!! that bad.... hary with glasses lol, underworld is ice, is not blood, cadavers,etc and is blue because is ice lolol, Silent hill is like sonic was dying and no one can stand again, silent hill is dead.... one day silent hill became one of the best survival horror now became for the worst survival horror its a shame..... like sonic the hedgehog, need a miracle to be good again

    oh i must say, blaring mistake number 1: DESTRUCTION OF ATMOSPHERE. who really thinks this looks remotely like a silent hill? honestly. homecoming did the same thing, as well as a whole lot more but that's an essay for another time. ps if you give me a thumbs down on either of my posts you admit to being an idiot that eats whatever is spoonfed to them from video game companies. and having horrible taste. and smelling bad.

    what a gimmicky pile of crap. leave silent hill alone, the first one was FINE. god, america (and apparently england too) just cannot resist adding ridiculous little gimmicks and hollywooding up what used to be masterpieces. OH COMBAT = GOOD LOL, GONNA MAKE THIS REAL SCARY CAUSE THERES NO WEPONS LOOOL, WE CAN DO SILENT HILL BETTER CAUSE WE GOT A WII NOW. zero shame. ugh. given the retarded sparkle in their eyes they really think they've got something here. travesty. 1-3 are the only good silent hills, deal with that.

    i liked the fact that they are attacking the format the new resident evil has adopted because i really do miss the survival horror genre that resident evil seemed to have abandoned. its not a creepy tense game anymore. they raised the amount of action and the number of zombies you face which takes away from the mystique from the series. im glad silent hill hasnt panicked and completely changed their approach because of the success of the resident evil games. im closer to buying a gamecube tho, rather than a wii because i want all those other resident evil games they have on it!

    This sucks...stop talking about the stupid waggle stick on the crappy console that collects dust next to my tv, only reason i can't get rid of the thing is the girl plays ddr on it...arrrgh.. if they wanted to go last gen, leave it on ps2 and psp (I know it's there for this game and thats where i will get it, but the wii is a joke!) What I don't like is that they are taking things out that make silent hill -- silent hill! Fans don't want a cell phone menu system in real time. We want our classic menu that paused the game. And let you absorb the memos, examine items and look at the maps. Homecoming wasn't that bad and I don't understand why everyone seems to hate it. It has everything the old ones have and a creepy physcologoical story. I liked homecoming better than orgiins, can't stand those breakable weapons in that game, or the room (which wasn't supposed to be number 4 at all) #3 was ok, but nothing and I mean noting beats silent hill 2 !!!! The best sh game ever. They need to remake or make a new game like silent hill 2. It was a huge game (not like 3 which was a very very short game) and silent hill 2 develed into so much subject matter in a deep disturbing ways that made you think. I really loved 2.



    One thing i see missing in the screenshots is the fog or the film grain...hell even homecoming had that, why not this? I also hope they don't take the puzzles out and put in stupid gimmicky wii like crap (although they aready admited they are by how much they braged about the wii...I guess its dev greed with looking at the install base...but they don't realize 90% of wii gamers are kids and they don't play silent hill. This game should of been made for the playstation as that is what silent hill 1 was made for. i want a new ps3 silent hill now. And where is team silent? What the hell are they making now? I agree with what they are saying about re5, and its action game not survival horror. Hopefully they don't take the puzzles and intriguing stuff out. That would just suck!

    Well they told us a lot about the Wii version but absolutely jack about the PS2 version. Probably just going to port it and stick everything to the analog sticks. The origional is one of my favorite games and I have enjoyed all the rest, Homecoming probably the least but still, so I really hope they do the original justice.

    The first few silent hill games where good I even liked Origins tho Homecoming was a bit of a strech to like I am intersted in this game tho I really hope they don't mess this up and that they stick to wii/psp games and keep it seperate from the console games main series and remake the first Silent Hill on Ps3 and X box 360

    I've lived with 4 and origins, but Homecoming was just a completely different game from SH. I thought Silent Hill: Homecoming could have been called just Homecoming and it would have been a better game because it would not have had a lot of expectations from a running series. DON"T MESS THIS UP!!!! PLEASE!!!!!

    this game sounds rather ****** to be honest... and that whole cellphone thing... it was done in other games (maybe not for the wii, i'm not a wii user) so... not very impressive at all... just like the movie! lol xD you have to look long and hard for something as bad as that.

    I quite enjoyed most silent hill's, origins on the psp was good but not too sure how they can make it any different, the sound was already effective (as long as you used the headphones). Thought his comments on dogs jumping through windows and zombies not being phychological horror a bit silly, i think knowing something was gonna jump through those windows in resi evil 1 was far scarier than anything in this franchise. Will check out this game with regular expectations.

    Definitely another treat for us PS2 owners/peeps who didn't sell theirs. But Wii fans...I just feel sorry for you guys, honestly, why not a nice NEW and EXCLUSIVE horror game for Wii? Hell I would buy a waggle machine if they just made a Wii version of Dementium. Yeah, remember that one!?

    Both aren't really sucking me into the game at all, very monotone and the way they describe the new game elements makes it sound lame and they seem to want to take out alot of what made the original Silent Hill game one of the greatest PS1 games for the time.
    It's for the fans, my butt it is, alot of fun elements are being removed and replaced with something that to me will somewhat kill it; but I'll reserve my full opinion until there's either a video trailer or actual in game footage rather than still images.

    Quite honestly I really don't see this transitioning well onto the Wii, I mean, wow I get to wave around a flashlight, and oooh I get to take pictures with a cell phone, something that wasn't in the original game, takes away from what I loved about the original game.
    Should just stay for PS2 or PSP, hell I'd love to see a recreation for the original PS1 if possible X3

    But full opinion to be reserved until more information is given, video footage is shown and perhaps an interview with people that actually make me wanna play this game.

    Oh and where's the fog?

    I cant wait to for to come out, I want to get Homecoming for the PS3. The game looks great and I known it's going to scary as hell.
