THQ details 2007 Nickelodeon lineup

More SpongeBob, more Avatar, and another Nicktoons crossover lead the way for publisher's slate of games based on kids' cable network.

"Heeee's baaaaack!"

Licensed games carrying the WWE, Nickelodeon, and Pixar brands have been a huge part of THQ's business strategy in recent years. And while the publisher has said it wants to bring in a greater percentage of its revenue from original games, it's still looking to boost the bottom line with a full slate of licensed offerings.

THQ today announced its lineup of Nickelodeon-licensed games for the rest of the year, and gamers can expect more games based on SpongeBob SquarePants, Avatar, and the rest of the kids' cable network staples in the coming months. This year's roster will feature the first Nickelodeon game for the Xbox 360, as well as the interactive debut of the network's latest star, El Tigre.

A full list of games and platforms follows:

SpongeBob's Atlantis SquarePantis--PS2, Wii, DS, GBA
SpongeBob's Atlantis Treasures--Mobile phones
Avatar: The Last Airbender - The Burning Earth--Xbox 360, PS2, Wii, DS, GBA
El Tigre (working title)--DS
Zoey 101: Field Trip Fiasco--DS
Drake & Josh: Talent Showdown--DS

    The animated shows could possibly be good fodder for videogames, but Zoey 101? C'mon now. And Drake & Josh isn't even a good TV show, so I can't imagine how it would ever become a good game. If I can't control one of them and get him to kill the other, then it can't be worth playing.

    Erm a lot of you seemed to misunderstand that these games infact are not aimed at you, they are for gamers younger than you who do not read gaming sites or share your tastes for the best games out. They are infact a very profitable age bracket as they demand whatever tv tells them too and THQ stand to make a lot of cash from these licenced game. Im going to go out on a limb here and guess many of you are teenagers who have yet to realise our planet actually orbits the sun and not yourselves...

    hatchet guy, why are you so concerned about zoey 101 games, homie? you got your little icp icon and stuff, so shouldn't you be somewhere listening to terrible rap/metal instead of discussing nickelodeon games? i'm just sayin, dude. it ain't lookin right. plus, you commented twice on the same subject, so you must really care. also, how can they not make an avatar game cartoony? it's based on a cartoon, genius. matter fact, anyone over the age of 11 talking about how nickelodeon sucks and this and that, you need to get a life. stat

    You guys are grown up...of course you will think its lame. But, how about all those millions of kids who watch those shows. "never-named" you have obviously grown out of it. Still a huge market whether you guys like these games or not.

    I have been an adamant Spongebob fan for as long as I can remember but I have to admit that the show has really started to lose it's lustre since the last three or four years.

    Oh look, I've got enough money for 7 games this year. Instead of getting GTAIV, MGSIV, Halo 3, SSBB, SMG, Heavenly Sword, Uncharted, Burnout Paradise, I'm gonna pick myself up:
