    Loved your insight into this series. Metroid has always been my favorite series, with Super Metroid topping my list of all time games.

This MP3 preview hints that Mother Brain was an Aurora bio-computer. My theory is that the original Metroid Brain was a standard Aurora, while the Super Metroid Brain was a Phazon-corrupted Aurora, allowing her to mutate as she did in Super Metroid.
