Shippin' Out March 26-30: C&C3, Oblivion expansions, PS3 Sam Fisher

The latest Command & Conquer, the first Elder Scrolls IV expansion, and the PlayStation 3 version of Splinter Cell Double Agent all infiltrate stores this week.

Spring is in the air, and so is the enthusiasm among PC real-time strategy gamers. That's because the latest iteration of the legendary Command & Conquer franchise hits stores today with more than a little fanfare. Command & Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars is the first all-new installment in the series in nearly four years, and it has received glowing reviews.

An Xbox 360 version of Tiberium Wars is due out in May. But owners of Microsoft's latest console got their own major release this week in the form of The Shivering Isles, the first full-fledged expansion for The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. Available via Xbox Live Marketplace for 2,400 Microsoft points ($30), the expansion weighs in at a sizable 993.75 MB. The expansion is also available for PCs in the form of a boxed copy, which retails for $29.99.

The week will also see Electronic Arts' venerable Medal of Honor series get its latest edition--and its first installment on the Nintendo Wii. That would be Medal of Honor: Vanguard, which chronicles the problem-plagued aerial invasion of Holland by the Allies during World War II, known as Operation Market Garden. Other releases on the console include Romance of the Three Kingdoms IV: Wall of Fire and the movie tie-in Disney's Meet the Robinsons, which is also coming out for the PC, PlayStation 2, PlayStation Portable, GameCube, Nintendo DS, and Game Boy Advance.

Last but not least, the first Splinter Cell game arrives on the PlayStation 3. Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Double Agent sees supersecret spy/commando Sam Fisher go even deeper undercover by posing as a new recruit for a rogue terrorist group. The game's shipment caps a string of US releases for the PlayStation 3, which recently launched in Europe.

I haven't played the splinter cell: double agent on the previous versions so it will be new to me. looks like the only good game out is elder scrolls: shivering isles and medal of honor: vangaurd for the PS2. The wii probably butchered it like they usually do with fps games. Elder scrolls is better then any wii/ds game out or coming out. I'm also looking forward to metal slug anthology.

Cross-platform releases are cool, but I'm still waiting for the day when PC gamers and XBOX 360 gamers can go head-to-head in multiplayer.

What I don't get is if Double Agent shipped on the 27th, why is it not available until April 6th according to Gamestop?

Re GTCzeero: CD? It's 1GB, more like a DVD-ROM. There goes the 360 HDD for future games' expansions.

I know this isn't really important, but that game Made Man shipped out (here in the UK) ages ago, and is not worth it.
Are there any plans for a CD add-on version of The Shivering Isles for 360 or PS3?
