Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? follows the hit TV show faithfully, and will please new comers and fans alike.

User Rating: 8.5 | Quiz $ Millionaire PS
Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? says it all, don't really need 2 paragraphs and a bit to introduce it properly. This game has you answering up to 15 questions, to win £1,000,000, virtually of course.

You start of at answering the first question, and winning £100, the money increases with each correct answer. The 15 questions have 3 checkpoints inbetween, question 5, 10 and 15 (can't really call it one but hey, the show says so). This means if you answer all 5 questions correct, and you answer question 6 incorrectly, you'll walk away with what question 5 was worth (I forgot how much each questions worth, been ages since I seen this TV quiz show). Not hard you say? It is if you don't know much about general knowledge, which is the only games downpoint. It revolves to much about past general knowledge rather than present (I mean present for 2000, they wouldn't have questions for 2001 or later now would they?).

The graphics are decent for the PS1, but not in the wow factor. None the less you don't really notice it much, as your more focused on looking at the 4 options you get for the question. There are also 3 lifelines, Call A Friend, which randomly generates 1 of about 6-8 people to give you a correct answer (not like that in show, another disapointment), 50:50, where you the computer will take out 2 wrong answers, and Ask The Audience, which asks the audience what they think is the answer. Generally good stuff, really.

As for the music it follows faithfully the shows, but wouldn't it help to put some better pieces of music in there? Not a huge disapointment but a noticeable one.

There is a multiplayer aspect, which is the fastest finger first, where in the show it would have 12 people rather than the 4 you can play as. This just determines who will go the Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? chair.

Overall this is probably one of the best TV Game show tie in games, that remains a classic. If you find this, and like this review give it a go.
