This bloody rough shooter-hack-and-slash game might fun for a while...
Meet Ruby Malone, a fixer, rent her to fix anything and she'll do it in bloody and stylistic way. Of course if you pay enough. The Story follow Rubi's adventure on finding the truth about one twisted job that trap her into gangster war. It's not too important to follow the story cause it's basically just kill everyone on the screen. The story also end in most ridiculous way.
The Gameplay, well as a shooter game, Wet is follow the Strangehold gameplay, the game is focus on stylistic shooting, and for that, Rubi can shoot while slide, jump, and wallrun and, this 'acrobatic shoot' will execute in slow motion. The mechanic is pretty simple, just press (B) to slide, (LT) to wallrun, (A) to jump, and, press (RT) to shoot. The game will instantly go in slow motion so you can shoot more accurate. The auto aim feature is also a good feature. During acrobatic, if both of Rubi's hand is free, one hand will shoot in auto aim, so you can shoot another enemies with manual aim or, you can shoot the enemy with both of Rubi's weapon to increase damage. As you proceed, your score of style can be use to upgrade new abilities of Rubi. You will get new weapon too which you can upgrade also. Except for her firearms, Rubi also equip herself with extremely sharp sword. Slicing up enemy is as easy as pressing the (X) button. Sword attack is much-much more deadly than gun shot. On campaign, you will encounter many...um...hordes situation. On this situation Rubi is trap on an environment that full with enemies, You must close the door where the enemies come from to stop the enemies. This challenge is quite fun for a while but, it's getting repetitive really fast. Some mission is very cool like the road rage or falling from exploded plane but the rest is the same run and gun mission that gets old fast.
The Graphics, A2M really messed up in this sector. Wet is awfully rough on graphics. The character movement is rough and absolutely not fluid, and don't expect anything from facial animation.
The Sound, now this is where Wet is really shine. Wet have amazing music. Almost every music on this game is entertaining and giving you the right mood to kill everything that move on the screen. The chatter and other sound effect is average but who cares? just listen to the damn great music!
So, This game is quite good. It might worth a rent at least
