Rubi Malone, a sexy Mercenary takes the lead in this game as a stone cold killer that gets betrayed and really, really pissed. That is pretty much the whole story. This game looks like it would be great to play, but the gameplay gimmicks (Arenas, Rage mode, and cinematic button presses) get old quick due to their repetitiveness. The game is fun when you keep the steady pace, without dying, the acrobatic slow-mo shooting and hack'n Slash is great if there was more variety. This game is just plain fun, but its shortcomings make it a hard game to like. I felt that it was very ambitious; there was a lot of work on this game to be done to make it great. The fact that Rubi has dog tags could have been a good side plot, but no she is just some low-life killing hotness. The first hour or two was possibly the most entertaining. Before everything started looking the same. The old film filter was interesting, but the visual quality is far from pretty. The music however was quite stimulating. This game had substantial gameplay, but the lack of depth made this game no better or worse than what it is cracked up to be.
