Should have been delayed.
Presentation: The game feels like a grindhouse film. A good one, it's got that purposeful grain sometimes, fun over realism combat and direction like a Quentin Tarantino film. Great presentation.
Graphics: Pixelated when you get to the point where the camera zooms in on Rubi's face in a cutscene. The tone is nice but when it shows its dated graphics more closely, it really does WET no justice.
Gameplay: Fun. Should have had less random QTEs that didn't belong. The change of pace with the rage moments is fun. If it were less point based, it would be a better game. Sometimes the controls are iffy but all in all, the gameplay is all about fun.
Sound: The sound of men screaming, gun shots, and bone slicing is all quite nice. The blood pouring sounds like someone watering a sidewalk with a hose but it's still nice. And the soundtrack is great.
Lasting Appeal: There's no multiplayer and it's not a game you want to go back for collectables or achievements/trophies so there is absolutely no lasting appeal. You beat this short game and then you're done with it.
This game is a definite Rent. It is an absolute blast but a short lived one seeing as the story is less than 4 hours long. Or buy used as Gamestop, keep the receipt and return for a full refund after you beat it... all in the same day.
