Tamed Bloodbath

User Rating: 5 | Wet PS3
Wet is a bloodbath, no questions asked. As you dance across the screen, dispatching enemies is inventive and entertaining ways, you can begin to see why this game could be worth playing. But at the end of the day, your movements can become quite jarring. The intended smooth movements from once button press to the next can somehow detract from the game when something goes wrong. Once you get used to the rapid movements that somehow seem cinematic, when it all goes wrong it can be annoying and off putting.
But the main, and most annoying problem with this game, is their over indulgent need to make the game seem as cinematic as you might want it to be with your attacking commands. Whenever you get to anything you could class as a boss battle, the game moves into a series of action commands which can be done easily within one or two tries. This can be incredibly annoying. I found that, especially with the ending fight, it leaves you with a unsatisfied feeling. You feel as if you've done nothing to achieve the end credits, and this coupled with the short game span leaves it all feeling a little rushed. This, aside from the jarring fighting, is what most lets this game down.
Although an interesting story line and kind of beautiful cinematically, I would only recommend this to those who want an easy time.
