Utterly Ridiculous...

This is a game meant to be ridiculous, its what they set out to do.. and they did it perfectly. Rubi Malone is a mercenary that we don't know much about except she loves money, booze and hates to fly. Some may say they didn't know her motivation but I believe she summed that up nicely when she finally met Pelham and said "I'm **** pissed", and that is enough for me. Let me get back to acrobatic slow-mo and lopping off heads, thank you. Some might say this is an issue, I don't believe it was. The weak story was just a justification of some sort to shoot people in the face, over and over and over again. With the crazy ways to go about it and with the soundtrack that makes you get into it, its hard to say they did much wrong.

The game works with what I've mentioned before, what they call acrobatic slow-mo which is when Rubi either dives, slides, wall runs or swings from poles to blast her enemies. She has two guns and the offhand automatically targets the closest person you would have been aimed at, the hand you control is free (mostly) to shoot whoever you want.

The game breaks down into a couple of modes, there is the preschool equivalent of platforming. Everything is shown with the camera and if you get really confused as to where to start, pulling LT will show you. Next we have the arena mode which consists of a lot of bullets hitting a lot of faces with a lot of bass and screaming. These were my favorite parts of the game because they were the most challenging and fun. Then we have the car chases, with quicktime events triggering you to jump off speeding cars onto other speeding cars, because why not, all the while slicing and shooting up your pursued's lackies. After that we have rage mode, when the game goes into a red/black state and is just a little different twist on the arena modes and car chase scenes. The boss fights are all quicktime and I know.. boo boo. All in all if there is a second, because we all know every game has a sequel, I'll be playing it. Auf wiedersehen!
