Five years have past since an entry from the Way of the Samurai series

The last being the spin-off that was Samurai Western. Way of the Samurai 3 still proves that repetitiveness is still fun if done right in places. The only gripe I have is that you perform the same job, over and over again. The combat is kinda clunky at times but the story is phenomenal. The characters remind me of the 1954 Akira Kurosawa film "Seven Samurai". The soundtrack once again shines and has that Japanese feel too it. If your into Samurai culture, then pick this up. A typical review score by Gamespot, but they have a a few good points and at least they enjoyed the plot.
The online is non-existent except for the downloadable content that is decent but you get the content free for PS3 owners and Microsoft once again charges for little content. I wish this game had some type of online play with a friend or 1 vs. 1. There is supposedly Way of the Samurai 4 coming out in 2010 and another Samurai game from Acquire which is designed like an MMORPG.
In closure, I love Way of the Samurai 3 and it was worth every penny!
