If you like water skiing, you'll like this game!

User Rating: 9 | Wave Race 64: Kawasaki Jet Ski (Rumble Pak Version) N64

My 132nd review after a god-awful Konami game, Frogger: The Great Quest.

Like most of these reviews say, this game is totally awesome. You play as 4 racers like 18-year old Ryota, the most balanced character, 21-year old Ayumi, the only female character and is also the slimmest and slowest character, 24-year old Miles, the only character who is later absent in the Wave Race sequel Blue Storm, and 32-year old Dave, the fattest and fastest character. You also have to be careful not to miss 5 buoys. If it's correctly passed, you'll gain more speed, but if you miss all 5, the game is over. But let's cut all the description, this game deserves an A-! Here the results:

Voice-acting 9/10: Terrific, that's one word to describe it!

Gameplay 9/10: Awesome gameplay, especially to racing fans. The designs are okay because it's got tons of stuff that will slow you down and you have to rely on passing buoys because if you miss all 5 of them, the game is over.

Graphics 9/10: The graphics are superior for a classic game.

Controls 2/10: The controls can be pretty slippery and sluggish!

Sound/Music 9/10: The music I must say is just as terrific as the voice-acting!

Lasting Appeal 9/10: Can be as great as Mario Kart 64 and Diddy Kong Racing.

Overall, Wave Race 64 is a terrific racing game!

The Good:

-Fun with friends

-Terrific music

-Great sense of skiing speed

The Bad:

-Cheesy level design

-Relying on passing buoys in order to win the race

-Slippery and sluggish controls

You should pick this game up if you're a racing fan. That's the end of my review. Good day everyone!

Wave Race 64 gets a 9 out of 10!
