I'm not saying I didn't like this game, it actually impressed me. But until I see clear evidence that what we saw at this year's E3 isn't just a bunch of scripted events put together in a game with nice graphics, I'm not sold.
This looks promising. I liked the hacking parts of Deus Ex and if this delivers something similar I will probably get it.
It looks astounding, but does anyone know what hardware the demo was running on? I've got a feeling it's some kind of mainframe computer used for "for demonstration purposes". Game publishers are so sneaky these days, it's hard to trust anything I see.
@shanethewolf If there were as many sneaky games as there appears to be sneaky publishers, a lot of gamers would be happier. Gief Thief now (or some other stealth game). Screenshots can look terrible or awesome and demos can give you the wrong idea about what a game is like. It ain't always easy to judge a game on what you see.
It looks great, but it's Ubisoft. It'll end up having too much DRM and will end up being mediocre to boot. Ubisoft just can't execute lately.
@jasonzilla11 "I can't see any reason why you shouldn't buy this."
I can! Ubisoft has been on a mediocre streak for the past 4 years. Ubisoft isnt producing the hits like they did in the past. I predict this game will be a 7 of 10.
@kingdakka Considering the clear successes of Assassin's Creed, Ghost Recon, Splinter Cell: Conviction, Far Cry 2, and the extremely popular (if not so great) Just Dance series, Ubisoft has in reality been producing games that sell very well. And many of them are far from mediocre. I'd say that reality proves quite the opposite: Ubisoft (and Ubisoft Montreal in particular) makes successful games--many of them of high quality--and we therefore have reason to hope for the best from Watch Dogs.
Honestly I don't really care what rating it gets. I want to play the exact game I saw in the demo, and would enjoy it immensely, so for me the rating is irrelevant.
@kingdakka Hahaha, a bit soon to be giving the thing a damn rating, don't you think? We've seen a trailer and a 5 minute demo and you have the gall to attach a rating already.
feeling that this game may be a modern day assassin's creed.. same watching, listening, the weapon or gadget wheel.. but looking forward to it though..
Oh man this game looks so impressive! The graphics are to die for and that gameplay looked tight and intense. It's hard to believe that this is current gen hardware. Ubisoft really killed at this years conference!
@gamelover711 True but the demo was on a PC, so don't expect the graphics to be on that level for consoles.
@ToughCritic28 That makes sense, haven't seen anything looking that good on a console this generation.
Nice idea for a new game from the guys at Ubisoft but i couldn`t say anything good or bad about this one because it`s still a demo not a real one.We have to wait whether they can pull everything off like they promise...
Will it be next gen? I almost hope so, just so that it looks as pretty on consoles as it did in the demo.
This was the game the most impressed me this year at E3. This games looks very promising. I love the hacking idea for game play and strategy.
This is what Syndicate should have been. Imagine 3 agents with gear like this and a persuadatron. Would have been very cool.
Yep, this really looks like a very scripted open world game. But I like scripted stuff. And I like the innovations that were made for this game.
this game surprised me at e3 when they announced it and so far, i am really like this game! its an interesting idea. cant wait to check out more on this game
I'm waiting to see more on this game. Looks like it should be good but I was a little confused on the storyline. Gameplay looks like a unique take on the open world genre. I appreciate Ubisoft working to create a creative new game and not just another sequel.
i just hope that this game will look nearly as good as it did in the pc demo on my ps3 (but i know that's probably asking a lot..)
Last of Us, Pikmin 3, Starwars 1313, watchdogs, and XCOM Enemy Unknown are all awesome looking and will have all of them if I am lucky
Ubisoft impressed in this E3. First for Watch Dog and second because Splinter Cell. Sorry, but I like more Splinter Cell than ACIII.
