- "Best in series"
This game is groundbreaking in terms of the Dynasty/Samurai Warriors series. This game reveals a refreshing new storyline for those who fight the same battles for the same reasons. There are many pro's and con's about this game. Let's explain the con's first. This game has NO new maps (besides Orochi's castle). So those who played the Dynasty Warriors 5 and the Samurai Warriors 2 games to death, this will be nothing new. Next, this game doesn't have any alternative costumes at all (besides an alternative color of the same costume)! This game also isn't the most visually stunning video game there is (this doesn't really bother me because I'm a firm believer of gameplay > graphics). This game can also get a little repetitive. There isn't a create an officer mode and the story mode isn't really much to brag about also. Now let's explain the pro's. This game offers a unique team element for this game. I believe this part is one of the most dramatic improvement of this game. Having teams of three warriors (dynasty or samurai) is very neat. You can play maps and switch between characters to remove any boredom you may get from playing with a certain character for so long. This can also be used to create insane combos too (search on youtube and you'll see). This game also has customized weapons. You can add different types of attributes to the weapons which lets players create a weapon that is right for them or the character they enjoy playing as. Another thing I like about this game is the massive amount of characters you can choose from! There is about 77 or 79 characters you can choose from (I kind of forgot) each with their own unique movesets! With all these features this game can offer you HOURS and HOURS of playtime with the customization this game has. I think this game has more appeal and is made for the more hardcore fans of the Dynasty/Samurai Warriors series but I believe that anybody can pick up this and enjoy it. I also think this game is an adequate fill-in for people who are waiting for Dynasty Warriors 6 and Dynasty Warriors Online. This game is definately a good buy.

A great game for all, the whole concept of playing as 3 players was a bit risky, but it payed off.
