God of War II could not have possibly done any better than it did.

After becoming the new God of War, Kratos feels empty and betrayed by his fellow Gods. You start out by looking to the city of Rhodes, watching the Spartan Army slash their way to another victory. Turning his back on Athena, he goes to Rhodes to deliver the final blow. Athena gets a little pissy and decides to turn the giant Colossus of Rhodes against him while redering you "normal size". Here your journy begins. Heck, in this game you even fight your way out of Hell!
Kratos continues his journey with the same old hacking and slashing moves. The noticeable changes are the new scar on his stomach (appearing in a movie scene) and the new Rage of the Titans (replacing Rage of the Gods). And, as before, there is still lots and lots and lots and lots of blood. The game is impossible to pass up and will force you play those few extra hours in the middle of the night to advance on.
God of War II is better yet and still flawless with few glitches. Kratos gives you that "piss off" attitude and will have you playing endless hours, exciting every minute of it. I give God of War II a 10 out of 10.
