Another great addictive game from Koei, Gamespot just couldn't see the good in it.

Koei has always been known to make hack-and-slash games using the history from the three kingdoms of china. Being an asian myself, I had interest in Koei's Dynasty Warrior games when it first released, and has been playing ever since. Now Koei is back and better than ever, right here is the newest series, Warriors Orochi, available for PSP, PC, PS2, and XBOX360. But today we're just gonna talk about the PSP version.

What I first noticed about this game was the story mode, it's huge and long.. you have a total of 4 army stories to choose from, and each has about 20 somewhat missions. Giving you a total of about 80 missions to play. Not only that, but it has a great storyline too.

There's over 70 different warriors to choose from, which is a very healthy roster considering the small size of the UMD. They each have a unique weapon, and never share the same weapon. They all play differently too, you will like some, you will hate some. Some are fast, some are slow. Every mission has a different map, though yes same landscape, but different layout, so you have to use your brains, plan out your attack, and make sure the important officers don't die, and map out the quickest way to get to the boss that will lead you to victory.

The battles in the game are quite addictive and fun, though Gamespot has always reviewed them as vague and boring. I think it's great though, there's always hoards of enemies coming towards you, allowing you to unleash moves and wiping out every one of them. Sure for the next 20 to 30 or so hours of playing this game, you're just gonna be hacking and slashing your way to the main boss, but the fact that there's 70 characters, there's 70 ways to wipe out the hoards of enemies.

Warriors: Orochi also has a new feature. You can bring in 3 of your desired warriors into battle, and switch between them during gameplay. Simply press
