What more could a Dynasty/Samurai Warriors fan ask for? The ultimate showdown has begun!

I'll admit, when I first saw this game on the shelves, I didn't know what to think about it. However, I'm a huge fan of both Dynasty and Samurai Warriors. And the great thing is is that I've been wanting a game like this for a long time. So, I bought it without question. I figured it could turn out 1 of 2 ways: KOEI could either kill it by trying to make the game a new experience, and remove what everyone loved about it in the first place, or they could literally just combine the two games and add some new features. Well, 2 prevailed, and the result is one of the best games to hit store shelves EVER!!! It may lack the ability to create your own character, but with the vast selection of characters to choose from (77 in total), the combinations never end. Speaking of combinations, you can now choose tag teams of 3. There are plenty of other new features as well: You can now fuse weapons together to create your own unique weapon of your liking and the possibilities are almost endless; you can compete in 1 on 1 matches against your friends; you earn growth points after battles which you can disperse amongst your characters any way you like; and you can unlock abilities to equip to your team! Out of every Dynasty/Samurai Warriors game I have ever played, this is by far the best, and it's portable, so you can bring it anywhere! A lot of people say that it's just the same as all the other games and that nothing ever changes. But when Dynasty Warriors 6 came out, they not only completely changed the characters (and I mean completely), they also changed the battle system and I hated it compared to the old one. Well, Warriors Orochi not only gives you the largest selection of characters ever assembled (and they are back to normal), but the old battle system is back in action. And I'm glad that KOEI never changes these games greatly, because the series are some of my favorite games. The battle system is perfect for "hack n slash" fans, the characters are detailed and full of originality, the battle grounds are large and free to roam, and the gameplay is flat out fun. So, I'm glad KOEI hasn't changed it much. Every new game that comes out for the series is just in one way or another an expansion of the last, including new characters, upgraded abilities and weapons, new landscapes, and more good old hack n slash fun. So for those who love the series, this is the game for you!

FIGHT ON!
