Killing zillions of weirdos is fun.

Pros and Cons review (I know no other way with video games):

Pros:

THEY FIXED THE PROBLEM THEY HAD WITH OROCHI 2! Orochi 2 was horrible. That game would slow down in certain parts of certain levels (if not all) and my GOD was that crappy! This game doesn't miss a step so you no longer need to worry about that.

The game-play is the same as usual: kill everything you see, non-creative strategy etc. etc. AND I LOVE IT! But what makes the game-play fun is the content that comes with it. Yes, a massive 132 (give or take a few) playable characters. However some characters DO carry similar (if not exact) weapons like 3 or four of them all carry a war fan, two I'm aware have nunchaku, 3 or four others carry rapiers and so forth but they execute different charge and Musou attacks to keep things varied. Some familiar characters carry different weapons from previous Warriors games like Cao Ren carries a Ball and Chain now instead of his shield and double-edge blade. Then again I haven't kept up with DW since the 6th installment so who knows. Plus this game has like up to 40 levels or missions, some which needs to be unlocked through this system called bonding in which a certain character bonds with 1 or 2 others and then when you converse with them, it unlocks a Gaiden level in which you can unlock other playable characters. Lu Bu and Kitaro Fuma still remain my favorites.

The Musou Battlefield is a new system which allows you to create your own battlefield. It's generic and not very deep and is limited. Though it is cool to choose what kind of soldiers you want on the allies and/or enemies side like ninjas or sumos or whatever. Overall, though, it is not really any good but it is a notion they could capitalize on in future.

Graphics have improved a little. The character models are nifty (but.....)

Cons: The environments are still tacky and poorly crafted. Ugh! They never seem to get it right. It's, at best, passable but still it's just not alluring.

Back to the game-play: The camera is still an issue with me and quite frankly I am sick of looking at these guy's butts. The women are fine. At times I could go the nerd route and be all happy looking at a simulated woman's butt but that is only if I'm in the mood which %1 of the time occurs. But in all seriousness they need to change the camera to where you can see the whole battle rather than just what's in front of you. And plus the character pop-ups are becoming absurd. They need to lessen the amount of allies so more enemies can appear and NOT deal with this pop-up crap. And sometimes they pop-up a little slow.

Conclusions: It definitely a step forward in the right direction for this series which is saying a lot considering how abysmal Orochi 2 was. If you are fan of the Warriors crap, this is probably the best one to get for it's mass amount of content of playable characters, levels and so forth and hack and slash fun. This review sucks but I tried!
