Way too simple.

User Rating: 5 | Warlords IV: Heroes of Etheria PC
Warlords IV feels like a game from the 1980s with modern graphics. Compared to other turn-based strategy games, the gameplay is way too simplistic.

The entire game pretty much consists of building units, moving them to a hostile city/structure, and fighting. There's nothing on the map to do besides fighting enemies and revealing the map.

Combat is done automatically by the computer. You pick a single unit from your army, it fights enemy units one-on-one until it dies, and you pick another unit to fight. The fight ends when one side loses all its units. You can't choose who your units fight. There are abilities, but those trigger automatically. The combat is like that of Civ 3.

There is some depth to the game, but it's lacking compared to other strategy games. If you like simple games, you'll enjoy this title. If you're a hardcore strategy player, you won't be impressed.
