User Rating: 9.4 | Wario Ware, Inc: Minigame Mania GBA
There's not much I can say that hasn't already been said, but if you're not conviced by the response this game has recieved, you're missing out on one of the most innovative games of this generation. If you can forget that innovative doesn't always mean "more complex" then you will see that it is "simplicity" that makes Warioware MCG so appealing and addictive. Nintendo really knows how to take simple concepts and turn them into a fun, polished, and memorable gaming experience. Mario & Luigi Superstar Saga is another great game which turns simple gameplay into a great game. The graphics in Warioware vary depending on the minigame. Some look like the digital game & watch gallery games, and some pictures look like they were taken with the Gameboy Camera. The presentation of the game is what pulls everything together in an overall great looking GBA game. The sound in Warioware is perhaps the most innovative of any GBA game to date. The music is as quirky as the rest of the game featuring vocal tracks and great synthesized instruments in some of the craziest arrangements in videogames. The music gets faster as the gameplay gets faster, and when the music starts to sound like it's warping, you look at your Gameboy and wonder "How did they ever come up with this?" and you realize why you love this game so much. Every GBA owner should pick this game up. Much like the original Tetris, Warioware is an addictive game that can be played in short or long bursts. A lot of its appeal is that it strays away from what videogames have become expected to be, and stands proud as a unique and entertaining experience.
