Wario Land 4 released in 2001, and I am still playing it today.

Story: 8/10 One day, Wario is reading the his newspaper and lookie here! A legendary pyramid has been discovered in a jungle and its chock full of treasure! So Wario immedeatly heads to it to reep his reward. The plot gets deeper ( sorta ) so if you can get this game, I'll let find out what happens!

Gameplay: 8/10
You have 2 save files so that's good. You can also choose a Hard or Normal ( easy ) version. The first level is basically a tutorial so no need to worry about the controls, But I'll tell anyway. The A-button is used for jumping, B-button is used for doing a charge attack, and the L and R- buttons are used for an extremely powerful charge attack ( used for breaking very hard rocks ). There are many other tricks and special enemies that can alter Wario's form.

There are four passage's: Ruby, Sapphire, Topaz, and Emerald( I wonder what they all have in common....)
Each passage has 4 levels. You enter each level by stepping on a frog-like switch which sends you through a portal that goes through a painting.Once you are in the level, the portal closes. In each level there are 4 treasure chests and a Key thingy. Each chest contains one-fourth of a jewel. You will need to find all 4 chests in each level to face the boss in that passage. A key is also hidden in each level too. Without the key, even if you finish the level, you won't go to the next one. Once you reach the end of the level, you will see the frog-like switch again....... what should you do? Jump on it. Hehe... A bomb is inside and a timer is set. Nice job. Rush back to the beginning of the level and the portal will be open. Jump in, and you done with the level! But make sure you got all of the jewel pieces and the key............. When you finish all four levels in a passage, you get to face a boss! Each boss is different and each on has a different weakness. You'll have to find the weakness though.

Sound: The music for each level is unique and fitting to the level. I especially like the music when the bomb goes off.......

Value: I got this game in 2001, and guess what? I'm still playing it. I'm still looking for hidden CD's lol! Oh, In each level there is a hidden CD. when you find one, you can hear it's song in the sound test room. There are also three minigames, which can serve as time wasters if you're bored.

Overall: 9/10 It may seem short to some people, but to me, it's far from short.
