Sweet, sweet arcadey third-person goodness. Amazing value, solid game.
The mix of depth and balance between foot soldiers, weapons and vehicles is incredibly tight. The maps are expansive and thoughtfully developed, with plenty of cover. Environments are not destructible (snif), but otherwise provide a great mix of gameplay options.
The Warhawks themselves take some getting used to, and airborne gameplay is not noob-friendly. Then again, even the most noobly noob can park themselves at a missile turret, and make life miserable for wannabe pwners of the skies.
Even though this one has been around for a long while, the servers are still hopping, and for good reason. It's a hoot. Better yet, it allows for 4-up play on a single console, which is a rarity among current-gen online multiplayer games. I've spent many an hour schooling my boys, reminding them with a well-placed TOW missile that Daddy's been a gamer since before they were born.
A PS3 must own, particularly now that it can be had on the cheap.
