This isn't a AAA kind of game, but don't let that stop you, in this game you will find an enjoyable if a bit short romp through a military arms producing planet full of nasties.

Right out of the starting gate, you're put in the armor of a mighty ultramarine captain, and there is no hesitation on the games part to show you exactly how you can bash around a multitude of enemies.
Thankfully the combat system is functional, although to its detriment it is also tedious in some parts. No strategy is needed in the campaign portion of the game, as bashing skulls and sundering flesh is the only real objective, this absence of strategic viability is a shortcoming in this game, many a time you'll find your eyes glazing over as the blood splatters all across the screen, one monotonous slaying after another with weaponry that lacks any real personality as well as sadly absent of impact.

Graphics in the game are decent, nothing too adventurous will be observed, the art concepts and feeling of the planet are well created, however once the awe of the planets monumental constructs fades into the background, you may become aware of a low level of environmental variations.

Audio is average, as is voice acting, as well as the writing of the game.
Glitches are occasional, and the enemy AI is predominately lackluster, providing nothing short of more meat to grind and splatter.

After venturing through campaign, you may be tempted to play against others in multiplayer, however, the same roster of unsatisfactory tools of slaughter from before are reintroduced with an assortment of perks, often enhancing accuracy or damage, but occasionally offering up a change in gameplay, such as jetpacks exploding upon the death of the player.

In summary, this game is worth borrowing, just for the experience of copious amounts of slaughter, as well as serving as an introduction to the world of warhammer 40k.
