I quit the campaign on BF3 after a few missions and returned to playing Space Marine instead. Now that says someting.

Mighty environments, great graphics, great fighting the hordes of orks and a fairly interesting story to go. Great short and long range weapons too. I even enyojed the endboss some people complain about.

This game does keep it simple and that's a good thing. It does not however keep it so simple that it deserves a demerit for shallowness as dished out by Gamespot. It is simple in a good way. You have a bunch of different attacks for each weapon, you can roll, unleash fury, execute and shoot wildly with a range of weapons. And this game has the coolest battle-axe I ever wielded in any game.

I guess this is Warhammer, but I'm new to the universe so I find the "for the emperor" high horse jargon tiresome. It makes it difficult to even sympathise with the characters when they seem like brainwashed war junkies. Go die for the emperor then if that is your highest wish. If you die than you won't be remembered as a hero by me, you'll be remembered as the dude that had only fighting on his mind, a bewildering idea of what honor is about and narrow mindset about what the priorities in life should be.
The audiologs are pale and at the first boss it was difficult to grab and get out of the turret which got me killed many times so I was really irritated there.

Above are the things keeping the game from scoring a 9/10 really. Slaying orks is great fun and it is satisfying to pound with your axe so hard you bury it in the stone floor so the sreeen flashes yellow and the orks go flying in the air. The online is alright too. I find co-op the most fun mode and I love the customization and the way they have implemented challenges to the online. I will play through it again on hard soon but I will probably not reach platinum because of you need one trophy that is 40 000 kills. At the end of the campaign I got a trophy for 2500 kills... It took significant time to get to 25 000 kills in Earth Defense Force: Insect Armageddon and in that game the enemies really swarms.

Anyway, great, great game.
