The gamespot video review is decent and pretty much covers all the basics, but its kind obvious the reviewer isnt a big fan of the fluff or the 40k universe in general, when he talks about stuff like not being able to drive the Titan...um ya they arent gonna let you drive a Titan it can basically destroy a planet.

The beauty of this game is that it uses all the exact same models and art direction from the Dawn of War rts game, down to every minor detail like even the supply crates and the turrets except its in 3rd person view. The game looks awesome and even though the controls are simply its very fun to play.

The longevity of this game will be in the multiplayer, which is very fun and addictive. It plays sorta like Star Wars Battlefront or War for Cybertron, both of which are simple but very fun online. Yes there are limited maps and modes, but the perks, variety of weapons (different weapons do different things not just more damage. For instance plasma reduced armor quickly to set up kills for other players), the actual size and layout of the maps (multi-level with a lot of cover) give the MP some depth.

Also, this is a Relic/THQ game. They are known for making tons of DLC. I wouldnt doubt their are plans in the works to bring out all the other races as MP playable factions, which would be incredibly awesome. They've already announced they are bringing out a co-op mode as DLC.

The possibilities are endless really its just how far they want to take it. They could even have bigger maps with vehicles like Battlefield where players could drive Predators, Land Raiders, Defilers, Dreadnaughts etc and have as part of this mode an upgrade that allows you to call down Orbital Bombardment or Summon a Bloodthirster/Daemon Prince.

Would be cool if they threw in some possessed marines or a heavy armor 4th spec for multiplayer like Assault Terminators or Obliterators, or maybe even threw in a mode like Star wars Battlefront where randomly you can become a powerful character like a Force Commander or Chaos Sorceror.

They could even add a 5th spec and incorporate a base building element into the game where you can play scouts/cults/gretchins and upgrade fortification etc sorta like Fat Princess hehe.

But I'll be happy if they just make da Boyz playable in MP.

All in all, if you are a 40k fan this is a must buy. Its not super indepth or complex its an easy mode action game thats fun.

If you want depth wait for the 40k MMO thats in development, but still get this game in the meantime.
