Warhammer 40,000: Kill Team User Review
- Difficulty:
- Just Right
- Time Spent:
- 10 to 20 Hours
- The Bottom Line:
- "Too short"
I downloaded the demo of this from the psn when it flashed up one day when I was visiting the store. I saw it and figured "why not" give it a go. The demo is only a short section of the first level, so in order to see what the rest of the game was like I purchased it to unlock the rest of the game.
The game is not bad for what it is, and does it well. Combat is brutal at times and equally fun to watch orcs and later in the game tyranids get cut to pieces. There is a light attempt at trying to give the game an rpg feel, but its simply too short and by the time you finish the game you should have unlocked all the weapons and ability slots.
The only drawback/negatives of the game is no online play for co-op and its length.
The ambient sound, environment setting, graphics are well done also. Trekking through the ork kroozer is very reminisent of alien breed.
If a kill team 2 is made some improvements need to be put in place, length for one, further refinement of the rpg side of things in regards to each classes leveling up and also more weapon choices not only for the primary weapon but also the secondary weapon, in particular those who carry the heavy weapons. Most importantly other abilities, and to take a page from ultimate alliance, allow button mapping of 4 abilities using R2 which is unused anyway as the trigger button to be held and then simply selecting one of the 4 playstation keys, (square, triangle, circle, cross).

It's a serviceable downloadable game, but your brain will rot while playing.
