I think this may be a very biased review, as I love anything thats strategy based. Total War etc..
My brother bought me this game in 2008 and it was the most challenging strategy game I had ever played, I found it immersive, addictive and brutal. When I completed it, I was left empty, I wanted MORE!! So I played as one of the other races and it all started again. I play the campaigns at least once a year and it's on my top ten list with the like of; Mario 64, Batman: Arkham Asylum, Miss Pacman, Resident Evil 4..etc..
It's difficult at first to be sure, but once you master the short cuts, which unit is better suit for a specific task, you can really get involved. Gathering intelligence, picking out weak spots and exploiting and then engage in full on assault of the enemies bases and logistics.
I can't wait to play the new Warhammer, thats a little over priced on release, so I wait patiently.
