Never seen a more honest developer than Cevat Yerli. There are a lot of mistakes with Crysis 2 and he mentioned about more marketing. I think Crysis 2 was marketed beyond the limit. It was clearly over hyped despite being lesser version compare to Crysis 1. My disappointment starts the moment I entered the game when nothing happened when I shoot the trees. Played a while after that and couldn't continue cause I don't like it that much. After months, started playing again and I realised that Crysis 2 is a freaking cool game actually. I guess I did not like it the 1st time I tried cause I just played Crysis 1 before it. The fresh memories of freedom was still there and I couldn't bear the linearity of Crysis 2. Treat Crysis 2 as a totally new game and everyone will enjoy it to the max.
@crazerlapd- Great point, dude. I did the exact same thing with Crysis 2. Started it off for a couple hours and just lost interest, mainly because it wasn't as sandboxy as before but I also missed the turbo boost and super high jump. Put the game down for months, went back to it when I had nothing else to play and ended up loving it.
Cevat Yerli shouldn't be so hard on himself, they made a top notch game, and an 85 metacritic score is nothing to sneeze at.
