User Rating: 10 | Warcraft: Orcs & Humans PC
This was the first PC game I ever played aside from Kings Quest on my Windows 3.1 Compaq PC.
This was the game that set Blizzard up for a long run in the RTS gaming industry releasing Starcraft as well.
I must admit I was not an RTS fan of base-building strategy type games but once I got into this (which didn't take too long, the controls are quite intuitive), I found it one of the most enjoyable games I have ever played. While all the different kingdoms are fairly similar there is sufficient variation to make them all interesting in their own right (my favorite being the Orcs). The sounds and visuals made the game very immersive and fun to play.

I gave the game play 10, as the BOT AI is very, - very, - very clever especially as you progress though the game to the harder levels. Another re-playable value was the choice of two teams both human and orc. Online was another strong feature which was very popular as it introduced a new way to play online – additional content and mods also support the game through the years.

I gave the Graphics 9, as at the time graphics were very basic and this game does well to show of vast worlds and beautifully drawn out units in the game and throughout cut scenes with the characters.

Sound? – sound was one of the great things about WarCraft each unit had multiple sounds attached to them as you continually clicked on them they would get angrier and angrier at you. Background sounds and FX sounds in the game were brilliant as I am still humming the tune now.

Derrrrrr – Dun Dun Derrrr – and soo on.

Value, well today it is cheap as chips + with the battle net edition you get star craft to.

Tilt – Tilt? You try getting to the end on hard – you actually have to thing and master all of the keyboard shortcuts.

This is one Old School game that will never stop entertaining me!
