Top shoot em up. Controls work perfectly. Ed-209 inspired character.

Typically for Psygnosis, more specifically DMA designs, this game was very original and an instant classic. Totally different to anything else, maybe still unique. You are a BIG robot, basically a huge Ed-209 from Robocop really. Unusually you travel from right to left just using the 2 arrow keys. All the aiming is done with the mouse. A very nice method of control.
Simply humans come at you on foot, parachute. There'shelicopter, train, tank etc. You kill em. That is it. But it's well hard. If you shoot too long then your guns overheat and you have to wait till they cool down. You regularly get swamped by enemies, mines etc. I always struggle with the individual jetpack buggers. They zip up and behind you and BOOM, very hard to kill. The graphics of the humans are a little basic but the animation is very, very good, and bloody.
There's no lag from the controls, very responsive, in fact it's one of the most responsive games ever. Wonderful controls. If you hold right mouse button near a target it will then lock on, vital to learn this skill, locking on to the correct target is a bit hard.
It's hard on easy level. you get to do 2 long levels. To do the other levels you have to choose hard. It is ridiculously hard. I never finished this game, don't think I got beyond 3rd level. Shame as each level is a different time, WW2 Germany, future (only just now :))LA, Middle East and scifi, I never saw that one :( This is perfect for a Wii remake/re-release.
